Trying to decide if its going to be worth catching these shows? Has anybody heard who all might race in addition to the couple All Star teams?

Montana 360s? NOSA 410s? The Kennedy's?

Thanks on advance!

No Kennedy's per their twitter page. Only running Grand Forks & Glyndon this weekend. Same schedule as for most of the NOSA cars. Glyndon was originally on the All Stars schedule when 1st announced a couple months ago, but apparently that's been cancelled.

Hope they don't have a show like what happened w/the All Stars @ Hibbing MN last season with only 8 cars, but with 3 or 4 cars from Minot area, that's about all there is for Sprint cars in Western/Central North Dakota.

And by looking at who was at Husets on Sunday and who would likely make the tow to Williston, my guess would be only Blaney and Jac for All Stars. It'll sttink if there is a poor showing of cars, with Willistons location they really should figure something like this out for a weekend and time it with Minot's track or something to get cars there.

Does anyone know if Jacs car owner played a part in the All Stars coming to Williston? I know he's from there and obviously is into sprint car racing.

I think that Williston is better off having ASCS National tour there.  The car count would be a lot better with 360's in Montana, Western South Dakota/Wyoming region plus I believe that 2 or 3 of the Minot cars are 360's also.

Just doesn't seem like the ASCS comes this far north. I think the mid-week timing is whats going to hurt them the most in this deal. Who knows though, maybe I'll be wrong and they'll get a decent field of cars.

made the drive from Denver to Rapid City last Friday for the ASCS National show and being a Montana native, was pretty disappointed to see that almost none of the Montana guys supported the show, so I wouldn't count on them towing to Williston for a mid week show.

11 sprints tonight it sound's like. Sadly most peoples suspicion of a poor car count was correct. The thing is there is sprint cars around the ND area, the Grand Forks WoO show had 40 sprints and on a regular Fri night River Cities get 25-30. given Grand Forks is 4 hour tow from Williston but I still think it was the timing that killed the count.

Honestly I view this as a win for sprint car racing having a national series in Williston. I heard the crowd was huge. Now the track knows it can support a show like that and will pay the extra big bucks to bring the outlaws through after minot and also make is NOSA sanctioned to get 28-32 cars plus maybe even a few Cali guys who follow the outlaws home after the nationals. There's big bucks in Williston and people looking to spend them. Just my $.02 though.

Glad to hear there was a good crowd. I hope you didn't take my comment as being down on Williston having sprint car race, that wasn't my point, I'm all for it and would like to see them succeed. I was just dissapointed that they were only able to get 11 cars and know if I went to the race I would have been dissapointed in that count. I certainly hope they succeed and do have more bigger races in the future like your suggestions.

how do you think i felt arriving to a track that only got 8 cars? heck the promoter openly said to that he didn't put anytime into getting drivers to support the show and tickets were $20 instead of $30 to watch 8 sprints in a train race, haven't had a real high opinion of the all star crew since then, as for having a big crowd there thats good but by giving them a 11 car show you probably turned off a lot of those fans who will probably won't support the show the next time it comes

Read Phoenix Racing #59 facebook page, the finish was Dale Blaney, Tim Kaeding, Jac Haudenschild the top 3 finishers Followed by the other 6 finishers apparently all 1 lap down.

Allstars, soon to be called Allstar? three traveling teams in attendance for this race, must be something less attractive to the Allstars teams for not making the tow?,  I would love to see things pick up for sprint races on this side of the state, but speculating this hosted any believers in another show?  Basin Speedway needed a ton more dough to pull the traier that far in the middle of the week,  glad to hear the crowd was good, maybe there is intrest..

The ASCS National Tour was just in Billings, Great Falls and Rapid City.....Also I agree that the Mont. cars don't seem to travel like they used too!

I know there were at least 5 Montana cars that would have been at Rapid Speedway but they were getting tow etc for the Gold Cup race up at Edmonton.  Tough to pass that race up.  Rapid still had 28 which gave us heats, B and A mains.
