Jac Haudenschild is one of the best ever. He is a pleasure to watch race and a great man. However I do not get how he could be higher than Danny Lasoski based on your criteria.

Danny has a World of Outlaw championship and 4 Knoxville Nationals titles. This alone should but him above Jac. Danny has also won a World of Outlaw feature in 2013 and 2012. Jac has not.

Danny beats him on full career by a long shot and recently as well in my opinion.

Valid points. My thoughts on this one — and I really struggled with these two because they aren't where they once were but better than the rest as far as resume — were that Haudenschild was better overall. Plus, Lasoski is really part time in the 410s except Knoxville.

I wish I could argue your points. Tough call, and I went with the eye test and Lasoski only has one win this year. Again, very close.

But, don't discount Haudenschild's three Kings Royals and Historical Big One. Also, I was very surprised he won the Gold Cup.

I would agree the Dude has the better resume. Had he not gotten hurt at the Grove in 2002, he likely would have been a 2 time WoO champ. He is #6 on the WoO win list, Jac is #12. Here is another thing that may surprise, he has more All Star wins than Jac (36 to 27).

Don't forget the 100 wins at Knoxville.

If you saw Chico in it's prime, it was a heavy, rough track that took a lot of cajones to run, which suits Jac's driving perfectly. Haud should also get some credit for winning a lot of non-wing races, too - the Mopar Million for one. He was equally good with and without the wing.

Jac does have an impressive resume. 3 Kings Royals and a HBO. (I wish that race was still around) However I think Knoxville Nationals titles rank higher than the Kings Royal in my opinion.

Regardless, I like that you get on here and discuss it. It has been fun to read your thoughts on each driver.

I think his list is purly based on 410 winged sprint cars. But you do make a good points. Winning the Mopar Million is a huge win. He is def one of the best all around drivers ever.

As far as being exciting to watch and popular with the fans, Jac is near the top but he's not in the top 10 career wise or currently; unless we're only talking about Eldora.

The Wild Child is one of the best and one of my favorites.  When I think of Jac, I think of early 1984 when he drove the Weikert #29 (the season after Bobby Davis won a ton of races in the #29).  Of course, the Coors Extra Gold #48 and Elden #22.

I have this feeling the guy that did real well in the Mopar Million without ever running wingless before that night will be coming up real soon.

One thing I have to commend Jeremy on with these lists is how,  he has definitely created good, heathly conversation topics between race fans.  It doesn't matter what your personal opinion is on each driver, I do like how everybody has respectfully given their opinions on why or why not somebody is placed where they are.  Its very refreshing on this board.

The Haud, Lasoski choice was a difficult one. Both have resumes, are okay now. I had to put both ahead of guys that are good now but a lot less on the resume.

Between the two, I chose Haud because I think he is a little more competitive, right now. But when I say that, it's by the smallest of margins. Really, anyone that makes this list is pretty good.

According to schedules, and using WoO as barameter... Haud has races against WoO 17 times in 2014 to Lasoski's 14 times.

Haud's finishes are:   DNQ, DNQ, 17, DNQ, 11, 10, 11, 10, 19, 4, DNQ, DNQ, DNF, DNQ, 17, 8, DNQ

Lasoski's finishes are:   14, 22, 18, 23, 13, 23, 12, 22, 11, 11, 18, 17, 4, 6

Neither are great stats but Haud is not even making the A in nearly half of his WoO showings.  Haud is running with a decent team... Lasoski is running his own stuff.

I would bet in two weeks we'll see Lasoski in the Nationals A main and Haud probably not getting out of the B.

Haud ranks in front of Lasoski in one way only and that is popularity.  Sooo if this is a popularity contest....

Yeah pretty much. You would think a driver that has won the most big shows in PA, the most WOO shows of any PA driver(probably any non-WOO driver) and has won twice as many races as any PA driver the last 15 years would at least crack the top 10 and be the top rated driver from central PA. Hodnett ranked 12th and behind Kreitz was utterly laughable. Greg's done it with several different teams and crew chiefs also.

It's definately a popularity contest . I questioned earlier about the choice between Dietrich and Esh and never got a response. Esh has the better resume and he is doing better head to head at the Grove this year also. I'm guessing since Dietrich uses Twitter and Esh doesn't that is the difference. LMAO.

As the guy on the old TV show Laugh In used to say ; "interesting , but stupid"!

Kreitz has a Kings Royal title. He has won every big show in central Pennsylvania as well. Plus, he was better at the end of 2013, winning the Tuscarora 50 and the first night of the National Open. More Williams Grove track titles than Hodnett as well. And this year is still up in the air.

Laughable? I think it is very close.

I like Doug Esh. Probably thought more of him than most people as a driver. Squabbling over the last honorable mention spot — the equivalent of 30th — seems curious. Reason I had Dietrich there instead of Esh is because of recent performance.

Popularity. Twitter. None of that means anything to me.

Keep in mind, I think Haudenschild is competing in events where are there are higher car counts. Plus, Lasoski jumped in the Roth 83 for a couple weeks. I think those two factors make a difference.

That being said, these guys are close. If it was the other way around, I wouldn't have a major problem. I just think Haud has run better this year when I have seen him.

I'm not REALLY complaining , I just thought head to head ythis year Esh has beaten Dietrich more times than not. And head to head in the only track they run weekly (Grove) Esh has been ahead of him all season. Still , it's an interesting read.

Yeah Kreitz has 59 career Gove wins vs. 55 for Hodnett. Kreitz has been a WG regular since around 1984 -85 and Hodnett since '98(minus 1 year with the WOO in '99); so no it's not even close. When Hodnett was in the 12 and 22, he travelled to big races and didn't race for the WG championship. Do we even need to tally up the number of races each driver has won since '98? It's a landslide. Greg has more than Rahmer and Dewease combined and WAAAAAY  more than Kreitz.  Was that Donnie that just beat the WOO at WG last weekend? Uh no, that was Greg ...again(and Lance). Don't get me wrong, I like Donnie a lot and I'm glad to see him competetive again but is he a better all-time driver than Greg? HAHAHA beacsue it IS laughable. I get the feeling that some PA fans don't appreciate Greg and his talents because he isn't originally from PA. I think that's sad beacuse he is without a doubt one of the best ever and we're lucky to have him.
