New division title sponsor Eagle Motorsports makes winning IMCA’s national Sprint Car crown pay twice as much. The top driver in 2013 and 2014 national point standings for the IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprints earn $1,000 shares of $2,600 point funds.
“It’s really exciting to be part of this program,” said Mike Long, Director of Operations for the Lincoln, NE. sprint car chassis and components manufacturer. “IMCA’s passion for and dedication to growing sprint car racing caught our attention. We are very familiar with IMCA and the great work they do supporting dirt track racers,” he added. “This partnership opportunity was very attractive to us. It just made sense for us to be part of it.”
Already a major player on national and Knoxville stages, the company has a centralized location and has also benefitted from its proximity to Eagle Raceway, which sanctions its winged division with IMCA beginning his season. “To be centrally located is very beneficial logistically,” Long said. “And we're fortunate to share a hometown with Eagle Raceway. It’s great to have such an excellent facility in close proximity to us.”
Point fund checks will be presented during the national awards banquet in Lincoln this November.
In addition to Speedway Motors, Eagle Motorsports has dealers in California, Iowa, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and Australia.
"Our RaceSaver Sprint Car program continues to gain momentum and adding a title sponsor this season further stabilizes our commitment to the division,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “Eagle Motorsports will be a great partner over the next two seasons and hopefully many more beyond that."
