I hate to lose all of you, but Brian has created a FaceBook page called Vintage Supermodifieds. You might want to be added to that if your into FaceBook. I have deleted my FB twice but keep coming back.

If it threatens this page, I may have to shut the facebook page down.

I am not interested in replacing the work you have done here. I do not believe in replacing an honest mans hard work with a flashy new thing. I am dead serious about it. It goes against what I believe in , regarding ethics, and is not what I came to this movement to do.

The 'vintagesupermodified' facebook page is an outpost page for RFTP fans, that is all I ever intended to do.

Please refer to this forum and to your website when you go over there at your leisure, let's build this movement. I'll try to get better at sending the flow over here as well.

Warren--'if' you were a jerk, then I might be different about it. But you are not. Thus we all owe you for what you have set in motion. That is all I have to say...

i deleted face book last year because because of un-wanted post from someone using a friends name who lives in salina.the salina freind hadn't sent the post, so a possibility of a virus by someone seemed a possibility. i canceled my face book account ..............

I have had FaceBook for a longtime and no troubles. If you wouldn't be involved in those pass it on or forward this e-mail that nobody reads anyway. Maybe you wouldn't get viruses. Those are where a lot of malware and viruses come from. Have a good virus program and keep it up to date. Don't let it expire like so many do. Cox SBC also have virus programs to cover there system so it is not the norm to get viruses anymore. I can't remember when the last time we have had any problems. And we have 3 computers in the house. Of course I delete all forwards and pass them on e-mails.

I am not interested in creating another website. The idea was to increase flow we look for, to send over here. There some people that can respond with their pics faster over there, and that can translate right back to here. If we don't need to do links, then okay.

Bushwacker- you just agitate the ---- out of me! It only has 100+ members and maybe taking off on a tangent , I don't know. We'll see.

Now then , please listen-

Not everybody is having the problems you guys are having . Yes there are glitches, and just like everybody else , I hate change too, I like the way things are- I'm just sifting out there looking to hook up more pics, contacts, etc to bring out more of what hasn't been seen.

If the virus situation causes me trouble or even looks like it will, I simply don't do it. I use norton antivirus, and it's......well .......okay to deal with. I now run a 'quick scan' everyday to clean up things on my computer.

I cannot see ever topping what has been done here, nor do I care to. Too tall an order to even think about.

You can set your privacy to do so much on FaceBook. I don't even let people see my friends so they cannot harvest them. I say no to most of the options they want you to do. I don't give any info if I have the choice. They use all the info to build a huge data base. It is scary. FaceBook is a scary thing but it is no more scarier than some of the bills they pass in D.C. If they decide to take the internet away or restrict it then what will we do. 1975 Back To The Future. FaceBook is much better than the forum. Nobody hides behind handles for the most part. Your real name is out there. Keeps everyone honest. You get instant notices when someone replies to your posts/comments. It might be two or three days before I check into the RFTP Forum. With FaceBook it so much easier all the way around.

I will always back RFTP first,,but i do see Brians point ,,Facebook will bring more people to ventage racing and make them more awear of it.It might find afew people out there that would really like RFTP forum..Like me i cant get enough of the racing forums so i will go to all of them ,,facebook Ventage Supermods just made another place for me to check out....

It is a good way to bring out more photos and contact more people that dont know forums like RFTP is out there,,But Brian you need to push the Racing from the Past Forum on Facebook as much as possible..because on RFTP we get to talk to real racers for problem solving and storys from the people that were there. And it helps RECONECT people that knew each other before for me that is pricless.. ...But i do agree with Warren if it hurts the RSTP sight brake the LINK...

I have 3 different facebook accounts and it can help RFTP to make it better known..

Win as if you are use to it.And lose as if you enjoyed
it for a change. Its hard to get to the top and alot
harder to stay there.

I agree. The real gold is here. This is a learning curve for me, but be it slow or fast, RFTP will be known over there for sure. It is working to some degree in getting new photos online, and connecting more people, which could be brought back here.

I stand by the committment I made 5 years ago when I found this site by accident, this is home for me on the internet. I may be quiet at times, LOL (WHEN?!!), but this is a rare gem of a website that does need to be protected.
