A Positive Change for 2012
With all the tracks that support or will be supporting the
Steel Block Bandits having a 358 motor rule or the like thereof, the series has
elected to follow suit. “In 2012, the Bandits motor rule will be changing in
hopes it will help our series grow”, series promoter Danny Wilson. “With this
change, there is no reason why tracks will not open their doors for the
Bandits”. Wilson went on to say, “If you look at the tracks within a 4 to 5
hour drive of Hagerstown that run smaller motors, only good things can come out
of this new motor rule for 2012”. With only a hand full of drivers within the
series that currently run larger motors and with several tracks running 358s
this has weighed heavy on Wilson for the last two years. “I knew this was most
likely going to happen, I just did not know when. Now is the time and by making
this announcement this early, race teams have several months to prepare for
2012”, said Wilson.
