The UMSS has released their 2011 specs for their new non-wing series.

We will have a press release out soon that talks about the new series.

The official press release should be out some time in the early part of December. I am currently working on it, but I am actually waiting to include some sponsorship information (which is good news). There appears to be more interest generated than I first thought there might be. Given time, this deal definitely has the potential to develop into a regular series here in our area. It will start small, and grow. Ron B knew that this would have to be the approach to develop this deal here in our area. I believe he is on the right track, and if the success of the UMSS winged sprint car series is any kind of indication, the non-winged deal will work. We need to run them kind of as an exhibition type of series to start with, find out which tracks the non-winged cars run best at, and continue to develop this division going forward. As Ron told me several years ago, if you do not at least make an attempt to try it, you will never know if it could be successful or not here in our area. I like that attitude, and I am certainly hopeful that it will take off and grow. Like I stated before, there is actually more interest out there than I realized. Stay tuned for the official press release.
