Bob Lawrence's sites are the best sites relating to Kansas racing or any racing site. His dedication to preserving the memories is outstanding. Take a look at all his links and I'm sure you will agree.

Many of the links on this page are the work of Bob Lawrence, check them out. Hours of reading and thousands of photos. http://www.winfield.50megs.com/Cowley/Links.html

After vewing Bob's site, my wife told me that I could do that. That is how Racing From The Past got started after viewing Bob's site. She knew about my albums of photos that I had taken and knew they needed to be on the internet.

Unbelievable site. I'm learning so much sifting through it. It is so well documented! I didn't know the Don Engle #501 ended up in Garden City Kansas with the Carr family. This was after Cain and the Looney clan #58 had it. Lawrence Sinks drove for the Carr's at the Hutch Nationals.

Bob Finley was from Garden City not Nebraska like I thought from memory. My brain turns on the overload light and I have back-off, LOL.

It does not matter what period of Kansas Racing History one is interested in, you can find something about it in the century of racing that at the "Kansas State Fairgrounds, Hutchinson, Kansas" web site: http://KansasRacingHistory.com/Hutch_Nationals/Fair/Feature_Winners.htm Almost everyone who has raced in Mid-America has raced at the Kansas State Fairgrounds at some point in their career. The fairgrounds racetrack was considered to be neutral territory as it really was not anyone's "home track". If you have information or photos to add to this project, there is contact information at the bottom of that web page.
