Okay, I have been finding a few unreleased vid stashes out there. One from a major company, one from my Dad (Lawton 1969-ish), a rumor of one in OkC,

AAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDD--drumroll pulleeezzze

2 maybe 3 vids that have early 70's Lawton, Amarillo, and OkC! 20 minutes tops, but they should be good. They have to be converted to DVD, but they should be worth the wait.

The MOST special vids to be found, in my opine, are the ones right here in our own backyard.

If you have any film from the old days, -oval track pre 1988- Super 8 film, 16 mm film, 35 mm film, vhs,

Let us know and let us get it on disc, and out there for the eyes to see. It really is a thrill to watch your own video while others watch it too. Puts a new twist to the experience.

Also, all discs that I retain here go into fireproof, floodproof, lockboxes--for future use in a non-profit context. You keep the original film, and get the credit online( which goes towards documentation of ownership).

Supers, Modifieds, HOBBY STOCKERS (love the tri fives), Sprints, Midgets, and Champ Dirt Cars. Or anything interesting that is close to the general ideer.

Thank ya vury muuuccchhhhh.

I think that getting the old films on DVD is a great idea. I have done that to a collection of 8mm films taken by my dad (Vernon Schrater) in 1959 which primarily represented #24 and #14 as shown. The film (now DVD) shows racing at the Hutch Nationals, Dodge City, Wichita and other tracks I don't at this time recognize. The film is in color and other than a few incidents of fast camera panning it is very good. Many popular drivers and cars can be seen such as #10 Lee Salmans (Merrick Promotions high point car that year)(The #10 car was found and restored this past year by Lee's brother), #16 Gene Potts, #14 owned and driven by Ferrill Curtis, #24 of course and many others. I don't know how to convert it so it can be viewed on the internet like I have seen it done (u-tube?) but my son says he can do that???. I think the DVD is about 20 min. long and includes some more personal photographs and memories of 24, 14 and my modified micro. There is background music and fade in / fadeouts and such to make it interesting. If anyone would like a copy or could help me get it available on hosehead I would appreciate it. [email protected]

Thanks
