ECKERT, DOLLANSKY, ELLER, SHEPPARD, LEKA AND CAROLINA SPEEDWAY HEADLINE Dirt Nation™

 

Hampton, VA --- The Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil radio show on Monday evening April 2nd will present a plethora of special guests from the world of dirt track racing across the country. Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil airs from 8:00 - 10:00 PM EST on WLRT 1490 THE OUTLAW and can be accessed over the internet at: www.racetalklive.com and www.dirtnation.net, and is hosted by Dave Seay.

Dirt Nation™ will also spotlight World of Outlaws 360 OTC Late Model competitor Rick Eckert of York, PA. 'Scrub' as he is know to his legions of fans is currently 4th in Series points with one top five and 2 top tens in the tour's first four events of 2007. Eckert will join the show to talk about how his change to a new chassis is going and the upcoming New Egypt and Virginia Motor Speedway events April 13 and 14th. Eckert drives the Raye Vest owned, Cornett Racing Engines powered Mastersbilt #24 sponsored by Raye Vest Excavating and J&J Steel.

Dirt Nation™ will also spotlight World of Outlaws Sprint car competitor Craig Dollansky of Elk River, MN. Dollansky finished 2006 2nd in points with a career best six A Main wins. Dollansky is currently 4th in points with 3 top fives and 7 top tens in ten Outlaw events. Dollansky also has one win at East Bay Raceway and 2 wins in his visit to New Zealand this year. 'The Crowd Pleaser' pilots the Karavan / Dollansky Racing owned, Fisher Racing Engines powered Maxim #7 sponsored by Karavan Trailers, Fast Wings and Donahue Harley Davidson – Delano, MN.

Making a first time visit to Dirt Nation™ will be Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Comp Cams Rookie of the Year candidate Damon Eller of Crumpler, NC. Eller is currently leading the Comp Cams Rookie of the Year points over Ricky Arms and a host of others. Eller will join the show to talk about his rookie season on the road. Eller drives the Independence Lumber Racing owned; Jay Dickens powered MasterSbilt #I4 sponsored by Independence Lumber, Inc., Foxfire Realty, Grayson Farm & Leasing, Delph Communications, Carter CAT Machinery, Torco Racing Fuel, Hoosier Tire South, and Penn Grade Racing Oil.

Also making a first time visit to Dirt Nation™ will be new owners and promoters of Carolina Mark Gibbons and Doug Killebrew. Gibbons and Killebrew purchased the track from former owner and promoter David Ift. Gibbons and Killebrew are pilots by trade and will join the show to talk about their plans for the 4/10 mile clay oval in Gastonia, NC.

Also returning to visit Dirt Nation™ will be Advance Auto Parts Super Dirt Series competitor and northeast modified standout 'Super' Matt Sheppard of Waterloo, NY. Sheppard is one of the series young guns that is making some noise. Sheppard tallied one win, two top fives and 14 top tens in Super Dirt Series action during 2006 and had a total of seven wins for the season. Sheppard will join the show to talk about his 2007 season. Sheppard drives the Ross Motorsports owned; Enders powered Bicknell #44 sponsored by Adam Ross Cut Stone, BKS, Currier Plastics, B&F General Machine, Magee Transportation Services and Seneca Auto Sales and Service.

Making a first time visit to Dirt Nation™ will be modified standout Jeff Leka of Buffalo, IL. Leka competes on the UMP Modified circuit finishing 4th in the 2006 National Point Standings picking up 17 UMP modified wins in the process. Leka will join the show to talk about his career and the 2007 season which includes a recent $6000 win in the 4th Annual Bluegrass Bash. Leka drives the Leka Motorsports owned; Hovis powered Bob Pierce # 3L sponsored by HPRcars.com, Instant Auto Credit, Kirkland Carpet, PBM and By Pass Auto Body.
