Just a note to honor and wish condolences to the passing of Morrie Williams the long time car owner of the "Zero" car based out of Oakhurst California.  I'd personally like to wish Katie Williams his wife and the extended Williams  family my deepest sympathy and regards. Rest in peace Morrison and the entire Sprint Car Community will miss you and all you gave to the sport for many, many years.

Morriie fielded top notch cars with top notch drivers. Jimmy Car, Peter Murphy, Jonathan Allard, Bud Kaeding to name a very few. My condolences to the family and friends. Thank you Morriie. RIP

  From central coast of Cali.
   Peace, Out.

I stayed with the crew at Morrie's Shop up in the mountains on a Cali trip.  Peter Murphy was driving at the time and we had a blast with the highlight of course being Katie's cookies, she was the best ever.  Morrie was just a good, sweet man who was interesting as hell to talk with.  The sport will miss this man....

He was an exceptionally nice guy, easy to work with and appreciated quality equipment.

May peace come to find his family and friends at this difficult time.

Condolences....I didn’t know the man but don’t know how many old timers here on Hoseheads remember Openwheeler (RIP as well). Anyhow, I don’t remember how, but Openwheeler was looking for some official WoO decals for his camper just about the time the Fargo WoO races were. I told him on here me and the family were going and I said I’d get him what he needed.  I sent them to him and told him the cost and that I didn’t need anything for shipping or my troubles because I was just doing a favor for a sprint car fan and all was good. A few weeks later a package shows up in the mail from him and it was Peter Murphy 0 shirts for me and the kids signed by Peter and Morrie.  I don’t remember how but Openwheeler had a connection to that team somehow. Was a fan of that team from then on. As luck would have it, we happened to attend a race at Husets following the Nationals that year and the 0 team had stuck around and we got to meet everybody after the races. Great group of guys.

Very sorry to see this. Morrie and Katie are two of the nicest people you could ever encounter in the racing world. There are a lot but these two were right there at the top and classy too.
