Been wanting to say this for a while. I think and hope I speak for others on here..... you are big part of our group and are appreciated. I think you have great questions and insight, and I think you have a passion for our sport. Please don't get discouraged. A lot of us have experienced the bullying from a certain poster at one time or another, myself included.

Feeling is mutual about Rod. The guy always heckling Rod is simply an asshole. But he doesn't know me... so he doesn't care what I think.

I can understand getting upset with some posters who either think they are the ones who are going to save sprint car racing...ie a certain fan club owner who has stopped posting here, or those with an obvious agenda against certain drivers and tracks to the point where they hijack entire threads.  In the past, I have  even participated in piling on those types of posters a...for better or worse.

However, anyone with half a brain and a critical eye can tell the difference between that type of poster and someone who is posting questions and participating in conversations in an earnest, honest, and curious way, even if they don't have a lot of, by their own admission, "knowledge."  Unfortunately, some people are impatient, angry, and bitter bullies who don't have the ability or courtesy to acknowledge a posters intent, and that's a shame.  Have I done a double take once in awhile at Rodin's posts, sure, but I appreciate the curiousity, and the questions, and hate the fact that discussion groups are dying because of the way people like that are treated.

No issues with Rod here. Not like he has ever asked a question that all of us haven't asked at one time or another. Whether you're new to the sport or just unfamiliar with a certain territory, nothing wrong with asking a question on a board with other said racing fans. Sure anyone can google some of the questions but you can also ask here as well. After all, it is a very niche sport so you are limited on some of the information that other sites can provide you.

Agreed. Hell I remember you and I having some words in the past but truth be told, I respect you and almost everyone on this forum. I think if most of us all got together at a race we'd probably get along pretty good.

Totally agree...I know I can pop a vein every now and again on a topic, or take things wrong or whatever, but I don’t think, to my recollection, I’ve ever gone total a** or lowered myself to name calling like a few certain posters do, and we all know who I’m sure. This sport needs positivity and Rod you are alright in my book. 

Hell Ol' larsonfan is a big ol' Teddy Bear. 1 night at The Field he grabbed the railing & riled up a hornets nest & got the shit stung out him & stayed to watch the races.

BTW Jeff we have missed you at The Field this year.

Fat old teddy bear more like it! I miss you guys in Keystone Corner too. My knees have gone to hell in a handbasket, so my racing has been limited for sure. 

Ya, one hasn't been stung until you get it by a nest of hornets on the top of your head. I said words that I didn't even know I knew. Sat in the ambulance at the track for a while. But it was the best race of the year, the Hewitt Classic, and I wasn't gonna let wasps cause me to miss it!

I mean no offense by this and if I'm wrong I apologize.  But is Rod a real person?  At first I was thinking ford was an ass (which I still think) but the more I read, the more it didn't make much sense.  I've never seen rod be offensive to anyone and ford seemed to attack him for no reason.  Many times his comments had nothing to do with the topic and his comments were only to attack rod.  I guess I just thought he was ford's alter ego.

i agree with all that  is said here!!  ford97  seems to take great pleasure in ridicule.  his obvious lack of boundries are deep rooted, sad...

Agree with this sentiment. Rod seems to be good people that enjoys sprint car racing.

Just further proof that no one is spared by the keyboard jockeys.

I still think that probably all those jockeys are nice folks. They just exhibit their alter ego here...and probably other places too....behind the keyboard.

And, gotta admit that the etiquitte here might contribute to my being away for a couple weeks. 

Maybe there should be a sticky Tyler Walker thread for everyone to vent??? Which, by the way, I think is a damn shame more than anything.

Why did my response get deleted?  I disagree with something/someone and my post gets delete, yet there are people on here who bash tracks, people in every post?  HAHA  nice.  I must not have enough posts to warrant being able to say anything I want to

    I'm not affiliated with Hoseheads, and I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night, but......

      A lot of message boards are set up so that if you reply to someone's post, yours becomes attached to it. They call it a daughter posts. If the original post gets deleted, all the daughter posts get deleted as well. And if you quoted somebody who quoted somebody who got deleted, the whole shebang gets deleted.

    

Trailer Park Boys is my favorite show of all time. Even went to see them live one time. It was the boys with Lahey and Randy and they killed it. I literally left with a sore jaw from laughing so much. Gonna miss Mr. Lahey. He will always be the liquor........drunk bastard.
