For the first time since Cody Brewer reopened and revamped Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker back in 2017, full blown modifieds will make their first appearance this coming Friday night with the running of the “Cowboy 100 Proof,” highlighted by a 100 lap USRA and Summit Racing Equipment Shootout Qualifier championship feature.

This event will be the first of three-straight modified events promoted by Joe Duvall dubbed the Club 91 Funkadelic Dirt Track and Honky Tonk Extravaganza.

After Friday night’s much anticipated event atop Red Dirt Raceway, the “mini-tour” will head to the Salina High Banks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma on Saturday night before ending up with a huge Sunday night appearance at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Friday night’s format will include heat races, consisting of 8-12 cars (pending car count), tentatively set for 10 laps. The top sixteen in finishing and passing points will be locked into the night’s 100 lap feature finale with the top eight being inverted. The balance of the field will compete in “B” feature(s) to round out the twenty-two-car starting field.

Once the championship feature begins with one lap officially recorded, caution flag laps will count until lap 80. In the event of red flag conditions on the track, between laps 40 and 60, this will serve as an official “open red” where fuel can be added to the cars. Adjustments on the cars can be made but all racers choosing to do so will restart at the tail end of the field. If there is no red flag between those laps, a “competition red flag” will be thrown on lap sixty.

The Red Dirt Raceway “Cowboy 100 Proof,” 100-lap event will pay $2500 to win with all drives making the 22-car field earning $200. All drives not making the championship feature will take home $100. There is no entry fee at any of these three weekend events.

Red Dirt Raceway grandstand admission, this Friday night, is just $20 for adults; high school students and young grandstand admission will be $5. All pit passes are $35. There is a tailgate section for race fans to be able to park and enjoy from their vehicles. The total cost is $100 and a 54-quart cooler will be allowed.

Gates will open at 6:00 PM with a drivers meeting taking place at 7:00 PM Race time is slated for 8:00 PM. The Western Outlaw Pure Stock Series and Mini Mods will also be on the card.

Track and more race information can be found on the tracks official website www.RedDirtRaceway.com and their official facebook page: Red Dirt Raceway – Meeker, OK.
