I know it seems there's no shortage of critics for Port Royal, but I have to say last night's race was a good one! We decided at the last minute to make the long drive to the Port and am I ever glad we did! I feel sorry for any fans who left before the checkered flew as the last lap was a nailbiter!

Attempting to be a voice of reason in a world full of
irrationality.

That is only because Cisney hit the wall and rode it down the backstretch.  Cisney had it in hand before that.  Then he didn't have Macri cleared off turn four and hit him sending Macri into the inside jersey barrier.  If Cisney didn't hit the fence off two and almost flip he would have won without anyone even close to him.

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Jeez, the top three started eighth, 10th and 14th last night and you are still complaining. Both times I have been there this year, there has been tons of passing through the field.

“No shortage of critics” is actually one very frequent poster and a few trolls.

That is why all weekly shows should be handicap races.  Start the better and faster guys in the middle of the pack and you will see more passing.  Another reason the feature races are better a Lincoln. (Plus better track conditions).

Wait I'm confused. I thought everyone hated The Grove and Port was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I was there and it was a great race. Who gives a shit what Strawser or his miserable minion have to say? The finish was as exciting as it gets. Just wish they both could've made it to the line instead of having the 39 get busted up. Dylan owned up to his mistake and apologized. It happens. These guys all make mistakes. You can't race as hard as they do without the occasional error.

Dylan apologized profusely and over and over, it was obvious he felt bad about the deal.  I prefer Lincoln but this year I may have seen better features at Port.  Strawser can't be pleased when it comes to the Speed Palace, he may not ever be smart enough to get it either, after all he has been to 2 tracks this year, pathetic.....

That was before Port started to fix up the place and became the nicest track in central Pa. Now they are the track to pick on.

I don't know what people want anymore. There's a small segment of Port Royal homers (I live just down the road from one) who think that anything that happens at Port is the best thing in the world and no matter what Williams Grove does, they are garbage. Port Royal is great. So is Lincoln. Williams Grove is great as well. None of them are perfect. They all have their pros and cons but the pros are far more numerous. I don't know why people can't just enjoy the fact that we have them instead of relentlessly bashing the one they don't like and constantly praising the other whether they deserve it or not. They all put on good shows virtually every week. Those of us who actually support them know this.

Good points about having 3 good options to choose from each week. You could be talking about one or all of these track on the thread about abandoned tracks of the past. Might be a good idea to show up instead of complain from the keyboard or you might have to revive that old thread.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

That was a wild one for sure. I don't know how Cisney was able to gather it up and make a run in the last corner after riding the fence for that long and nearly getting over. Bad deal for Macri though. Cisney is usually one of the cleanest drivers out there but that one was on him.

Gather it up I would say is a pretty liberal term here. If he truly had the car under him he wouldn’t have dropped kicked Marci. I don‘t think for one moment he did it on purpose though.  Just a bad decision made in the split second of racing and pushing too hard with a car that was probably damaged from getting into the turn two wall. Honestly neither of them should have crossed the finish line with as hard as they hit.  Macri has every right to be pissed though.  I’m sure any one of us would be if we got used up like that. With that said it was far from intentional in my opinion.

Fact is, the 2 drivers involved will get over it LONG before some fans do. I was up in the pits after the feature and Macri was livid. Don't blame him one bit. If you're on the receiving end, you always are. Someday the shoe will be on the other foot and some other driver will be ready to tear Macri a new ass after he botches a slider. They all do it. You can't race hard enough to win without screwing up once in awhile. As hard as these guys go at it, it's a wonder it doesn't happen more often.
