BRODY ROA HEADS TO CHILI BOWL MIDGET NATIONALS IN OKLAHOMA!

(Cypress, CA, January 7, 2019) Fresh off the most successful year in his racing career, Garden Grove, California’s Brody Roa will kick off the 2019 season at the prestigious Chili Bowl Midget Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, January 15th.  He will follow that up at the finale of midget racing’s biggest event on January 19th.

At the Chili Bowl, Roa will be driving the beautiful #7M midget owned by Kevin Ramey, the 2018 Racesaver IMCA Sprint Cars National Champion and 2015 ASCS Gulf South Region Sprint Car Champion.  Roa was recommended to the Kennedale, Texas-based Ramey by famous open-wheel photographer Tim Aylwin.

“I am pretty honored to be running for Kevin Ramey at the Chili Bowl this year,” the soon to be 28-year-old Roa said on San Diego’s Racer Radio Show.  “His stuff is real nice.  Every time I have been around him and seen him go around the track, I have been a fan.  It is pretty cool to have a car like that and hopefully we can do real well with it.”

“It was kind of funny,” Roa laughed when asked how he got hooked up with Ramey.   “One of his buddies on Facebook (Aylwin) messaged me and told me to call him.  It was so quick, I was not sure if I was dreaming or not.  I got the message and I called him, and he said, ‘you wanna’ run Chili Bowl.’  I said, ‘yeah, of course!’  It is a good deal.  They are putting a real nice piece together for that.”

The car Ramey is putting together is a Spike Chassis with a powerful Esslinger engine.  Sponsored by Jambo Barbeque Pits, Presice Racing Products, Graham Wrecker Service and Hoosier Tires, the #7M will first hit the track in Tulsa at the Monday practice session.

In addition to squaring off against many of the best midget and sprint car racers in the world, Roa will be competing against drivers from several other disciplines including NASCAR, NHRA, INDYCAR and dirt & pavement late model and modified racers.  On Roa’s preliminary night, NASCAR Monster Cup regulars Kyle Larson and Alex Bowman will be among his competitors.

The 33rd Annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals will take place on the Tulsa Expo Center Raceway inside the River Spirit Expo Center.  Fans who cannot attend the Chili Bowl can watch all six nights via pay per view on the Racin Boys Network http://www.racinboys.com/).  In addition, Saturday’s finale will be shown live on MAVTV.
