Inductees Old and New, Family and Friends Welcome for 29th Annual NSCHoF Induction Weekend!
 
Knoxville, IA, May 30, 2018 – All Inductees, old and new, are welcome for this weekend’s 29th Annual National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Induction weekend this Friday and Saturday, June 1 and 2! 
 
Festivities start Friday night in an exciting fashion! A screening of the short film “Rocket” will be taking place on the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum’s second floor theater. Two screenings will take place, one at 5 p.m. and one at 6 p.m. After the first screening, both Tom Malloy, son of 2018 Inductee, Emmett J. Malloy, and his granddaughter Brenna Malloy, who directed “Rocket” will answer questions about the film.
 
At 7 p.m. on Friday night, will be our annual salute to the inductees on the museum’s second floor. The reception and gathering of past National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductees will include an open mic discussion and storytelling session! The reception and screenings are FREE and open to the public.
 
Past inductees expected to be in attendance at this weekend’s activities include Johnny Anderson, Mike Arthur, Dave Argabright, Allan Brown, Davey Brown Sr., Shane Carson, Doug Clark, Gene Crucean, Ray Lee Goodwin, Kenny Jacobs, Shirley Kear Valentine, Don Kreitz Jr., John Mahoney, Lynn Paxton, Steve Stapp, Pat Sullivan and Bill Utz.
 
The 29th Annual National Sprint Car Hall of Fame induction banquet will take place on Saturday, June 2 at the Dyer-Hudson Hall on the Marion County Fairgrounds in Knoxville. Festivities will get underway at noon with a catered luncheon from the Rib Shack. Induction ceremonies will follow the luncheon. National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Inductees, Dave Argabright (2014) and Pat Sullivan (2018), will again be emceeing the event.
 
This year’s Inductees include Drivers – Bryan Clauson, Lance Dewease and Dave Steele; Owners-Mechanics-Builders-Manufacturers-Car Sponsors – Scott Gerkin and Emmett J. Malloy; Promoters-Officials-Media Members-Event/Series Sponsors – Steve Beitler and Bob Mays; Pre-1945 Era – Oscar “Red” Garnant.
 
Following the induction, inductees’ families and friends are invited back to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum’s second floor for the unveiling of the new inductees’ plaques.


Saturday evening, racing is scheduled at the Knoxville Raceway. A full program of 410, 360 and 305 sprint cars are planned. For more information on the events at Knoxville Raceway, visit www.knoxvilleraceway.com.
