29th Annual National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Induction Banquet Live on The Cushion!
May 31, 2018 – For those unable to make the 29th Annual Induction Banquet Saturday, June 2, it will be available free of charge via Facebook Live on The Cushion’s Facebook site (www.facebook.com/WatchTheCushion). Bob Baker, executive director of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum said, “With all of our inductees, supporters, and racing friends across the country who are unable to get away this weekend, and due to our limited space for the induction banquet, we thought this would be the best way for everyone to watch our induction banquet, who can’t be with us in Knoxville this weekend”.
The 29th Annual National Sprint Car Hall of Fame induction banquet will take place on Saturday, June 2 at the Dyer-Hudson Hall on the Marion County Fairgrounds in Knoxville. Festivities will get underway at noon with a catered luncheon from the Rib Shack. Induction ceremonies will follow the luncheon at approximately 1:00 PM. National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Inductees, Dave Argabright (2014) and Pat Sullivan (2018), will again be emceeing the event.
This year’s Inductees include Drivers – Bryan Clauson, Lance Dewease and Dave Steele; Owners-Mechanics-Builders-Manufacturers-Car Sponsors – Scott Gerkin and Emmett J. Malloy; Promoters-Officials-Media Members-Event/Series Sponsors – Steve Beitler and Bob Mays; Pre-1945 Era – Oscar “Red” Garnant.
Following the induction, inductees’ families and friends are invited back to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum’s second floor for the unveiling of the new inductees’ plaques.
