Greg Hodnett has been struggling for about two yrs now in the 27. I dont thinka driver forgets how to drive, so it must be a team thing. For him to run 5-10 every week at the Grove in the 410 division is just unacceptable. Outlaws xoming to town in two weeks and I dont see any guy from the Posse having a chance except Dewease, but the Hodnett struggles are just mind boggling. Think he needs a new ride in 2019.

You gotta remember Central PA is a real hard place to win. Greg does have two wins in the past two weeks. One was a 360 but had just as much competition as a regular 410 field. He’s leading the points at Port right now so running well out there. As far as a ride in 2019, what ride? Doubt there are any even close to the Heffner ride.  He’s with arguably the top team in the area. I think they are just fine personally. 

1.  It's only May

2.  Why would him running in the top 4 make him a better bet to beat the Outlaws than the guys currently running in the top 4 right now?

3.  Must be a team thing?  Could be.  Could be the driver is another year older.  Could be a combination of both.  Could be everyone else has stepped up their game.  Could be nothing at all-----refer back to #1, "It's only May"

Kinda sounds like a New England Patriots fan.  Every year they start 2-2 in the first 4 games and everyone wants to know what's wrong with them.   

Perhaps the best ride in PA but they seem to historically struggle with that intangible - the mojo. 

Jus goes to show how hard it is get to the top and stay there.

Sprint car teams don't stay together forever.  Although Hodnett isn't at the front as often as I'm sure he and the team would like, I don't see any way Hodnett is looking for another seat.  There's just not enough quality car owners for a guy like Hodnett to go drive for and still do it full time.  If there's a change of driver in the 27, I'd guess it's because the owner wants that to happen and there's still few (if any) better than Hodnett in PA.  Especially in the summertime.

 I don’t necessarily think they are struggling as much as other teams are improving . Dietrich  gets better every year, and young guys like Freddie, Zearfoss, Cisney, Macri etc  are beginning to find their groove. Passing cars in a handicapped feature is no easy task anymore, even lesser cars starting in front of him are not dogs anymore

He really hasn't been that good for over a year now.  Tripple X changed the frames for 2017 and they havn't been the same since.  I also think they were/are trying a lot of different things in the setup of the car to get faster and it backfired.  Trying to catch the 69K is not an easy task.  Right now Danny Deitrich is the only one that is even close to the same speed as Lance.  It looks like it could be a long year for the 27.  The 27 should be dominating the competition in PA....

BTW.  I don't have a favorite driver anymore.  I could careless who wins as long as it is a good race!

Like Dewease & Dietrich currently run, the Heffner team switched back to a Maxim chassis for 2018 and no longer run a xXx chassis.

I know they switched to Maxim chassis.  It wasn't the chassis........just saying.  

Last year they lost the set-up trying to get faster to run with the 69K and have yet to find it.
