Hi All, Finally got out in my Sprint car. Anybody ever get a yellow tint to their methanol after draining the lines after a race? It goes in clear/blueish, comes out yellowish. New tank leeching rubber? new lines leeching? I've got a gold fuel fiter, coming from that maybe? Thanks for any insight.

Sure sounds like comtamination for sure. If you get an off weekend, of if you could the day after the race so you have some time before the next race, I would drain the complete fuel system, take the tank off and use some soap and water a couple times inside and swich it around then dump it out. Then use a gallon of straight water, swish and dump. Then do the same a couple times with methanol. Then let the tank sit for a couple days with the cap off and upside down, so anything that comes out will come out the cap hole. Then you should go through your lines, make sure to clean them out very well, spray some brake cleaner in them and blow them out, same with fuel filter, fuel pump, shutoff valve, nozzles, nozzle lines, pretty much everything fuel related. then I would put some WD in all the lines and blow them out, the WD will keep them lubricated. Basically just make sure everything is squeaky clean.

If the problem persists, I am not sure what could be the culprit. Fuel issues can be a bear cat, but I have been lucky with no problems, by making sure to keep everything clean.

Hopefully everything works out for you!

What type/amount of soap do you use for a 28 gallon tank?

I'd bet a hot fudge Sunday that after you drain & clean the tank that the new fuel will come out tinted after it's been in the tank/bladder.

If the bladder is new it will turn fuel brownish for awhile, unless you wash it out with a little soap/water. If its not new it might be breaking down and need to be replaced. Fuel lines should also be checked ,for deteioration. We replace ours every 2 seasons. Would NOT use WD40 as it will slowly eat away at rubber.

mine did the same thing when it was new, we just watched the hydometer , and cleaned frequently, ( like you should be doing anyway,) after a few cycles it went away.

#1. Ask some other racers that bought from the same supplier, you need to discover is it mine alone or are others having the same issue.

We used a combo of water and vinegar and then blew the inside of the bladder dry with compressed air. The vinegar worked as a cleaner and helped the evaporation. Only bad issue with soap is you gotta rinse and rinse and rinse some more.
