Planning on coming in from Ohio for the four USAC Eastern Storm PA races in mid-June. A few questions: How are the crowds = are the stands pretty packed? Are they stand-alone shows, or are there support classes (IE - modifieds at Grandview)? What have the car counts been in years past?

Thanks!

I can't say for Grandview because I haven't ever been there, but Williams Grove, Port Royal, and BAPS (Susky) all pull decent crowds. You should still be able to find a seat as long as you come in before hot laps.  For the Grove and Port Royal the support class is winged 410's. BAPS has URC 360 sprints and ARDC midgets as support divisions. Last year there was a decent field of USAC sprints that made the trip.

Grandview is the best attended in my experience, its also a shitshow with parking, go to the adjacent lot if you get there late (don’t remember if you have to pay or not). They have the mods on the schedule but they usually run the sprints first. Usac is usually really good at Grandview, Port Royal and Susky. I’ve never seen them at the Grove.

Grandview is killer for any sprints. It's probably my favorite track to watch 410s on in PA. Last year was a good race between Bacon and Leary.

I'll echo what dsc said, parking is a complete crime. If you have hours to spare, get there early and take a spot under one of the few trees they have for some good shade. Just dont park under the one that i do. Hahaha.  Take some sunglasses with you too.  I usually dont wear them but at Grandview the sun sets parallel to the backstretch and just beats on your face until it goes down. If you have to park at one of the houses near the track, it will cost money.

The Grove show last year was pretty good. KTJ won it and they had the midgets there as well. I don't usually like to see midgets on a half mile, but it was good to watch the Kunz armada come in. If I remember correctly, Brady Bacon was the only one who broke up their finishing order, or else they'd have had the top 5..... I think. Either way, they kicked ass.

I have to agree. The USAC race is Grandview is one of my can't miss shows of the year. The past few years have seen great crowds. There is parking in the neighbors' yards across the street from the track. They usually charge $5 to park, but you can get out fairly quickly after the races. The Modifieds usually put on an excellent race as well.
