I believe Sheldon won’t join the stenhouse team unless they let bonzai Zach and Drew come along

That's funny. Tell me again why a driver wouldn't want to drive for someone else and not have to manage their own team financially? Because of the guys that work on it? LOL.

Okay Sheldon even said that financially it’s not as bad as you think. Also, chemistry is important and bonzai drew and Zach all have that together plus sheldon proved that his car has more speed and potential

Maybe young Haude has more head on his shoulders than many who have come before him. Why bounce around from team to team and start all over with new personnel? Seems most team owners and drivers haven't figured that out yet. Keep what you have together and grow for cripes sake. Especially as young as Sheldon is. They will only get better and better. Take a page out of Schatz's and Kinser's careers.

Swank is a good crew chief, so dont take this wrong, but he is the kind of guy that needs a driver that suits his needs, just as most drivers need crew chiefs that suit their needs. Very few crew chiefs can go from drover to driver and have success with all of them. Swank and Madsen were great together. Hopefully they can find the right combination there and the car can start running well, would hate to see a car drop off the tour because they're not running well!
As for Larson, hell, He could make Stevie Wonder look like a top notch crew chief. That kid is a freak of nature in a sprint car.

Ding Ding Ding...we have a winner. Everyone always wonders why Shatz is so good. It's really very simple. Same crew, same car, same chemistry, same team for a LONG time. That alone is worth 5 to 10 of his wins each year. Same reason Steve Kinser was so good for so many years in his prime. Not many have bounced around with successful longevity. Doug Wolfgang comes to mind as one who was. There are a few others, but not many that won over the length of time Kinser or Shatz have in their respective primes.

Another realistic plus for young Haude is this. As they establish themselves to be a competitive and winning team, the sponsors will come willingly with the dollars. He appears to be much like Jac in that he is very likeable, easy access for the fans and exciting behind the wheel. That's a strong combination to have. His family history doesn't hurt him a bit, either.....!

Again, I'd have to agree with you on all accounts. I remember this summer watching a video somewhere on Sheldon and his team and Bonzai made a reference to the kid being able to get a ride anywhere but he hoped he would just continue to build on the 93 team. I'll take what he says as gospel as he and his brother Fran are the two that hooked me on Sprint cars in the mid 80's, though I haven't seen either of them in quite some time. If he sticks with his own team, with the progress they have shown, I'm betting the nab 3 to 5 wins this coming year and are able to snag a top 5 in points, maybe even a big win. Not a top 3 though until consistency is found and that may be a couple years down the road. I also agree, they appear to have a strong combination. If they keep building on that success will come. I just find it hard to believe that other teams haven't followed suit in keeping teams together. It appears that Gravel and the 5 team are going that route. I do understand that circumstances sometimes prevent that from happening however. I don't believe, though, that the 17w team should go for one of the young shoes mentioned above, and that is not a knock on those drivers. The 17 is a young team, that is struggling. They are typically good in time trials and heats, but fall back from their on. Throw in a young rookie driver trying to survive with the best of the best as a rookie night in and out may be a tough hill to climb. A veteran for now may be the best bet, i.e. Jac once again or someone similar to stabilize the ride, then, once that happens, throw a young gun in and go from there. Personally, though, I hope young Sheldong is at home in the 93 this season kicking tail on the WoO trail.

Must be December. One of the active threads on Hoseheads is a Seinfeld thread- about nothing.

NW.....I lurk here daily, but don’t post a ton anymore. Seemingly in my old age, when criticized, my responses tend to be unfiltered and my Grandma always said if ya don’t have anything nice to say keep your trap shut, so I been practicing that more and more lol. I definitely am still passionate about my beloved sprint cars though. As well, for some time, in this world of so many passwords I could not remember mine for here, lol, until o found where I had written it down. My passion for deer hunting, which rivals sprint cars for me, has also been all consuming as of late. And yes, definitely add Karl and Mark to that list Hands down. Hope all is well!
