Any news on the condition of some of the drivers injured recentlyseems like a brash of recent crashes.Jared Esh,Tyler Esh,Doug Hammaker,Rico and Doug Esh at work earlier this year.
After seeing some of the crashes this week at Eldora now I understand why Byron Reed wont race there anymore.

Here is the latest update from Tyler's mom..
Monday's update on Tyler Esh
Things are moving quick. He has been fitted with a brace and will be worn for 3 months. Tyler is going to be released to be air lifted to Lancaster PA. He is stable. He is not going to need surgery at this point. He will be evaluated at Hershey. His bleeding is the same.
Thank you to everyone who has prayed, texted, called, comments
Thank you to all our wonderful friends, family and the entire racing community. We love you.
I will continue to update on Tyler's recovery.

I just want to state that I do not personally know Guy. This is what I've found for info but does seems like the legit gofundme.

Day 77- Guy has been working hard at physical therapy and is doing good. He has gained a little movement in his left leg His left arm isn't moving yet. He got his trache out last week. His speech therapist is working with him on swollowing properly. He has been able to try a few soft foods. He is still on a feeding tube. He is able to talk well. He still gets confused about things and doesn't remeber. He is able to recognize people. Overall he has improved alot but still has a long way to go. From day to day, it's still a roller coaster. I am hoping in another month he will double his progress and things will get easier for us. — with Guy Griffin. Update from Stacey Griffin

Which 1 ? Heard he had 1 on the back stretch. I wasn't there for that 1 but I was for the front stretch just as he was coming out of 4 & just the sound alone when he hit the wall was nasty. I talked to Byron at Attica after that & he had a halo type thing around his 1 ankle or just above.

The one on the front stretch coming out of 4. There are only a couple instances where I can remeber hearing the impact of a crash over the sound of the rest of the cars and that was one of those times. Pretty sure it cost him an entire season and I don't think he's run there since.

I've heard this crash mentioned many times over the years. Just curious, are there any videos of it? Sounds a lot like the one Lance Dewease had at Williams Grove back in 1997. If you haven't seen it, there's a video on YouTube. The good lord was copiloting the 461 on that particular night. How he climbed out of it in one piece, I'll never know.

Yes UT. I remember watching Todd Kane go by Just a smoking & I was watching him & the next thing I know I actually jumped because of that noise as it happened right in front of us.

The Byron Reed crash when he broke his leg happened at an Outlaw show in April of 98'. He actually came back and raced at Eldora after that for a couple years. Then he took a wild ride down the backstretch at a race before the HBO around 200-01', had a pretty good concussion as I recall and that was the end of that.
