Great vacation! Calistoga, Sunday night, Petaluma, Monday night and all four nights at the Gold Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway. Had a great time, all three tracks were in great shape and the seating was excellent. I can't say enough good about the experience and I will return.

Glad you had a fun vacation! We have some amazing tracks here in CA with great racing! We also have many great drivers who can do well running against the Outlaws. I think California is finally respected in the world of sprint car racing as a hot bed of talent as evident with our drivers doing soo well at Gold Cup. Ever hear of Kyle Larson? He grew up racing sprint cars here and he is pretty darn talented
Where do you live and what local tracks do you go to often?
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

I live 17 miles from the site of the Chili Bowl and have attended most of them. My travels have taken me to many tracks across the country. I even attended the last race held at the old San Jose Speedway, years ago. A few years back I was at Antioc and Placerville, However I had never been to Calistoga, Petaluma or Chico. The Tulsa area no longer is a hotbed for sprint car racing. A few ASCS races at various local area tracks and the yearly visit by the WoO at Salina Highbanks, about 40 miles away. I spent a lot of time in Posse country, another hot bed for sprints but Northern Californias weather makes it a much better destination, especially during the colder times.

I thought I posted the other day Rog but maybe I didn't hit the submit button, getting old ya' know. So glad to hear the trip was worth it. Lots of variety and a bunch of different winners always helps but it's a bonus when the track is racy to boot. Take care of yourself, you can't be still working, if I had your money I'd burn mine, lol.....

If you would like to come to California again sometime I highly recommend coming in October to the Trophy Cup at the Tulare Thunderbowl! It's probably the best sprint car race in California and we get drivers from other states as well. It is a 360 race, but it has a wonderful format of a full invert for the main event, so the fast guys start in the back and the track is very wide and usually has 3 lanes and the drivers like to go high against the fence. I try to go every year and make it my birthday present to myself
I have been to most dirt tracks in California with the exception of Perris and Ventura, which I would love to go to someday! I have also been to Las Vegas and Fernley in Nevada. I was able to go to Lernerville about 10 years ago while I was in PA for our friend's wedding. I wish I would have had more time to go to more races in PA and anywhere else for that matter
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

ditto on the trophy cup at tulare. one of the best shows os the year anywhere. you really have to have your stuff together to make the show there as many drivers "chat" about the dip going into one and two, can be treacherous but then thats what it's all about...
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...
