I know, I know it's a sprint car msg board. But since I don't know any LM msg boards I'll ask my questions here. I am attending the LM Natls in Knoxville for the first time in 10 years. I'm curious to know if the event has grown. Is there a lot of vendors selling stuff.  Is the grandstand full on Sat nite? Are the parties and festivities on par with the 410 Nationals. Thx in advance

I'd say take your teeth out and buy a case or 3 of "chew" to pass out & you'll be the center of the party's..

My teeth don't come out, so I guess I don't fit in with the LM crowd lol

This show has got bigger and bigger. Last year they seemed to have more vendors than ever, T-shirts and food. It hasn't gotten to the Sprint Car Nationals size but the front stands will be nearly full.

I grew up with only sprints but these guys put on a great show and are increadibly fast at Knoxville. Hope you enjoy it.

You might want to check out 4M, a very active DLM message board to get the answers to your questions.

As bgtexpress said, check out 4M.net.  Good board but much like Hoseheads, there are a few over zealous posters.

The LM Nationals are not as big, but its a great time.  Good eats, good vendors, good crowd and the racing is very good.  The LM's aren't as fast but they put on a good show.  Its a little more relaxed atmosphere.  The weather is also decent in September.  Enjoy.

I have been to the Late Model Nats every year and it is some great racing. They don't have the speed of the sprints but the racing is better in my opinion. A lot of 3 wide racing and passing.

Crowd last year was the largest it has been at this event and the front chute was pretty full but nothing like the sprint nats.  Its always easy to find a seat.

Now that it has moved up to September the weather is great. Nice during the day and cool at night.

Vendors - there will be quite a few t shirt trailers but they will all be on the fairgrounds lot. None across the road that I remember.

Parking is better due to less crowd and I park alot closer than I do at the sprint nats so that is nice.

Parties I don't know about. I don't drink so after the race I head back to Red Rock.
