Any news on the micro sprint driver who had to be flown out of Path valley a few weeks ago?

Still in pretty bad shape but improving and it sounds like he will recover.  IBRACN had an update yesterday.   Breathing on his own for most of the day and on a ventilator at night so he can rest.   Able to respond to commands now and move his arms and legs.

Guy Griffin is a lng time friend of mine. We raced together back in the early 90's. You will not find a better human being. There is reason for us to be optimistic this week. His daughter Rachel Casey Taylor, sent this report earlier this week.

Day #18. Update on my dad, Guy Griffin. Your prayers are working!!! He has had the best day yet! Breathing on own for most of the day and gets assisted at night to help him rest. He has been moving both arms and both legs on his own to some degree.
For the first time, he gave a thumbs up to the doctors on command....twice!!!! And even wiggled his thumb when asked!
Equally exciting is him moving his eyes towards Stacey Griffin, Cheryl Jerry Hazlett and I when we are speaking to him. His vitals are stable and we continue to be hopeful each day as he continues to make progress.
We cried happy tears today! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! #griffinstrong

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS.

Thanks, glad he's improving, you still have our continued prayers

But the whole situation is sad, makes me wonder about the sport. I didn't grow up with it like some of the other fans
