So my son wanted to see Cars 3 Sunday afternoon. Was pretty cool that they paid homage to dirt track racing. In the movie on the way to a race they went past an exit for "Knocksville" and was wondering everyone's thoughts, you think they were talking about Knoxville, Iowa?

I haven't seen it but that seems too obvious to not be an homage or reference to Knoxville.

This was one of the few times I took it as the OTHER knoxville, since the sign was in mountainous country

Yeah maybe but with quite a bit of the movie focusing on dirt tracks I think it was too obvious to not be Knoxvill, IA.

You can be honest and say that you wanted to see the movie and you took your son along to not look silly. We won't judge

My kids and I had a race filled fathers day weekend. Mom was out of town so my 4 year old, and my 2 1/2 year old took me to Cars 3 on Friday afternoon, followed by races on Friday night, fishing and bike riding on Saturday afternoon and races Saturday night. Life is good! I missed the Knocksville sign in the movie, guess we'll have to watch it 5-10 more time on DVD.
