NCRA Modifieds Kicks off 2017 Race Season This Saturday Night!
 
 
Park City, Kansas – April 11, 2017 - The National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products modified division will kick off their 20th consecutive season this coming Saturday night (April 15) at 81 Speedway in Park City and will be part of the tracks “Autism Awareness” night.
 
Scott Green of Wichita will come into the night as the defending tour champion and will lead a strong list of drivers who will be looking to not only get their season started but a jump on series points.
 
Two-time tour champion Dan Powers will look to get back to the top after a runner-up point season last year.
Ryan McAninch, Josh Lanterman, former five-time tour champion Brian Franz, Jason McGehee, Tyler Davis, Ross Shipman, Clint McFadden and Johnny Whitmore are just a few of the close to thirty touring regulars expected as well as a strong rookie of the year contenders.
 
Also, competing on the race card will be the series opener for the crate late models and mod-lite divisions as well as a special $500 to win event for the tracks regular Thumper division.
 
Attention race fans! Wear a BLUE SHIRT at this Saturday night, April 1, season opening event at the speedway and register to win a General Admission VIP Pass for the 2017 season to any program except the April 21-22 Park City Cup / Air Capital Shootout and the Saturday, May 6, World of Outlaw date.  That’s 32 regular season race programs valued at more than $500.00!!! 
 
Crew members, you can also “feel the love” on this special night. Wear a BLUE SHIRT and if your car wins the Championship Feature event in either the NCRA Late Model Series, NCRA Mod Lite Series or Thumper division, and take home an EXTRA $100.00 Bonus!!  *Note:  Minimum of (1) crew member wearing a BLUE SHIRT to be eligible.
 
Gates will open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for a 7:00 PM start time. Grandstand admission is just $15.00 for ages 12 and Up; 11 and under will be admitted for free to the Grandstand. Pit passes are just $30 for ages 12 and up and children eleven and under just $15.
 
81 Speedway is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then 0.7 mile west on 77th street in Park City. For more race information contact the speedway office (316) 755-1781.
