This story gets a little weirder every day. There is still no new owner, but they will run a full season in 2018.

Just because of 1 guy who was going to buy the racetrack & didn't, you had to cancel the weekly racing program for 2017?
And who in the hell is going to build in a housing project in a Flood Plain!!

Have to admit that for the longest time, I thought Guy Webb was the most crazy person to get involved with sprint car racing. He went 19 directions, running shows all over the place and eventually had so much chaos going on that a 2nd series was formed, and it resulted in Tony Stewart acquiring both series.
However, Brennan takes the cake on this one. Announces 2017 schedule, closes with a press release stating no racing unless a buyer is found, backtracks to having 6 shows, and now has a 2018 schedule announced. All the while losing over a $1M in 2016 after investing $4-$6M in a facility? And they think the fans are going to be "excited" about this news? Bizarre.
Gotta bet that luring Tony Stewart in is a perfect plan so that maybe he buys the place to save it from chaos. That said, how is this place ever going to make it, and more importantly, come close to operating at break even.
Really fun to watch from the outside though....pass the popcorn! It is the best reality TV drama in forever!

All I know is he ran the races and his $$$ was good. So yeah, Im excited. My friend who struggled to get a few people to help and setup a USAC team last year brought home 60k. Im just wondering why the new schedule says USAC Midgets?

The Gold Cup will include winged and non-winged USAC Sprint Cars, along with the USAC midgets as the support class.

Good Lord people. You look for anything to be negative. Clearly you read it incorrectly.
Pretty simple: Gold Cup will have winged Sprint Cars, non-winged USAC Sprint Cars and USAC midgets.

Like their 1st 2016 schedule that had 4 NSL shows and the WoO show that they never had a contract for.
So Badlands, if someone buys BMS will it be in the deal that they must run this schedule?

I agree with you! Worse or just as bad as Webb! Never thought that was possible.

I don't have a problem with them announcing they plan on racing a full schedule in 2018 but it's a little premature to start throwing around sanctions, and Tony Stewart's name.

Is the Midwest the only place on the planet where the fans insist on driving a race track owner out of business and then complain like needy Democrats when they fail?
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Yes, with some of these asshats, yes it is. And, then they'll bitch that there aren't enough race tracks or races.

4-500 miles of cow shit and corn dogs between race tracks and some of you could not accept the fact that drivers had a choice on where to race on Saturdays last year.
