The weather for Saturday could definitely look better. Any chance they would run on Sunday instead?
Thanks,
Jeff.

Sunday is usually the rain day, although then they are calling for low temps then. The forecast has backed off a bit as far as how early it's supposed to start raining so maybe it will hold off until afterwards, they really only need 90 minutes to get this show in.

Sunday is the Daytona 500...don't think they've ever had a rain date against it.

Not sure I like the new seating. Looks pretty. But is it more comfortable and provide better viewing? I liked the concrete seats. Plus it was easy to get in and out of your seats. The reserved section looks bigger.

It will be harder to get in and out of your seats (about the same as any other track) but backrests will be much more comfortable. So all the stadium type seats are reserved? If so that's ridiculous, hardly any GA seating left. I hate when tracks do that. It may be a good way for the track to make a few extra bucks, but not a good way to draw new, casual or fans from another track. It'll be like the Grove's big shows where you have the majority of the crowd fighting to find seats in the bottom half of the bleachers while over half of the reserved seats are empty(owned by people with more money than brains).

There is still plenty of general admission seats available. Not as much reserved as you may think. The blue and grey are reserved, the rest are not reserved. All the wooden bleachers in 4 are not reserved. I'm looking forward to having a back to my seat.

I doubt the view has been negatively affected. As for the comfort??? I don't know about you but I hope this makes it so your knees are more of a perpendicular angle vs being canted off to a side. Maybe my old Army running days and road marches are catching up with me. Because it's just absolute murder to unfold my knees after sitting for 30 plus minutes on the old concrete. I was actually starting to get to a point where I didn't want to sit down on the concrete anymore Because it would hurt so bad sometimes unfolding myself after sitting for awhile.

Any update on this? I saw some people saying someone involved with Lincoln said to "stay tuned" regarding a rain date. I didn't watch BHG TV yesterday and someone mentioned they might announce something on there?

I called on my lunch break. The woman i talked to said "no raindate is scheduled at this time, and they are comitted to getting the show in even if its a late night". So take that however you would like.

It will bring order to the chaos of GA slab seating... The handrails will piss someone off... But WGAF...safety first for the front stretch boozers...

Looking at the photos the leg room looks considrably better than what Knoxville has had for so many years. At Knoxville knees are nearly touching the backrest in front of you. And the photos may be decieving, too.

I'm kinda doubting they are gonna get this in. This storm has the potential to be real nasty depending on how/when it rolls in.

well that is a big improvement (always glad to see tracks make improvements)
after attending last years woo race ( 1st time there ) with my brother from NC we both said no more
those concrete slabs are for young people and not old bucks like us.
but after i see this...... another trip will be planned. the racing was great

The new bleachers are A+. Much more leg room than you typically get with aluminum bleachers. Especially those with backs on them. Gotta give major props to Lincoln Speedway for getting the show in. A heavy thunderstorm blew through right when the 3rd heat went red for Brandon Rahmer's flip. There was hail, lots of rain and a tornado warning issued just down the road in York. Then after the storm, temps plummeted behind the cold front and then just as Fred got a couple laps in with the grader, another shower arrived but they held out and we ended up seeing a very exciting race. Most tracks will say that they're going to do everything they can to get the show in then cancel after a thunderstorm because they have a light crowd. If Lincoln says they're going to race, you can bet your ass they're going to give it everything they have and then some to make it happen. No track in Central PA is even close. Many talk the talk, but no track walks the walk better than Lincoln does. Big thanks to Lincoln management for pushing it through and also to the teams for sticking it out and putting on a show.

Am I correct in reading that chase Dietz started in 26th position and finished 7th? If so I am mad that I missed it. Must have been one hell of a run. You won't find a nicer young man and he has a duffle bag full of talent
