How come The 2 Touring Late Model Divisions can run there Racing EFFICIENTLY without Having A Dash Race or Dash Races

YET the 2 Touring Sprintcar Divisions need to Run Dashes ?

What is the Purpose of The Dashes ?

1/ To give the Teams another practice run on track to make car adiustments ?

2/ to Put More WEAR & TEAR on the Race Track ?

THANKS Smile

I like having the dashes, it's a more fair way of arranging who should be starting on pole than just a redraw. Plus I'm certainly not gonna whine about more racing. I also think part of it is sprint car feature events are often shorter than the late model features in terms of laps so it gives the fans more to watch. It also does give teams a chance to tinker one more time before they run the feature.

For the most part I hate dashes. They just give the fast cars a few more laps to get a better starting spot in the feature. I'd rather just add a few more laps to the feature and do away with dashes to give cars starting towards the back a better opportunity to advance.

I prefer the dash over a redraw anyday. With a dash I feel like you are earning your spot rather than a luck of the draw deal.

I think it also is another event for the paying customer. Face it there is many times in a year they only have 3 heats, B main (sometimes none) and a feature. It adds to the experience and hopefully people feel like they get their moneys worth.

As a fan it's always great to see cars on the track in any race because if they take it away they aren't going to drop ticket prices? Plus stock car racing vs sprint car racing are very much different beasts? But since most local cars don't make the dash,it don't matter if the the outlaws get better against themself. I think the very best racing comes from the local sat night shows the outlaws are over priced for only a few cars 6 or 7 total cars the local cars seem to make it happen.but the one thing the late models have done that's great is there is a race each week or more that's 10,000 or more they seem to run more races for bigger money. Plus on tv a lot..they have the outlaws ,Lucus oil, many groups that offer great pay.moyer and some can follow no group and cash in . Love to see sprint car racing get there. Because the outlaws are the best owners in the sport, driver are great but not always the best just the willing. Since Steve,Sammy,Doug. It's not the same.they need something along them lines again the schatz show is old, he's great but love to see him turn back the clock to run the big 3 in there prime? Think we'd feel a little different about Donny. It's just so wide open for him right now.and yes I'm long winded today?sorry

Oh sorry the late models run 100 lap races or 50 lappers, so to work out sprint cars need more races to take up time give the fans there money's worth.

Lucas doesn't do a redraw they line up by the heat race finish for example if you win the heat that the quick time car is in you get the pole for the feature.
