I can't help but think they will put a full time driver in the seat ... Whoever that will be, we will have to wait and see.

There's some really good young talent out there that I would like to see take the ride.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Brent Marks in the Highlands #3.

Maybe no one,  Sprint car racing in the upper Midwest is on life support,  except Grand Forks,  lot of money to go race where none of your restaurants are, again except Grand Forks.

The problem with River Cities is they are even further behind most tracks in payouts.  I believe it's only $1200 to win the 410 sprint A main on a regular night, and that hasn't changed in quite a few years. They have to realize the potential they have this year to become even bigger than they already are with Badlands most likely not racing.  The only way to get the guys like Justin Henderson, Kaeding, Lynton Jeffrey, Rosenboom, maybe the McCarl's, etc up to race at RCS on a regular basis is to enitce them with an increased purse - which then would put more fans in your seats every Friday night.

The other track that needs to take advantage of this opportunity is Red River Valley Speedway.  RRVS has barely been surviving the past 10 years - closing, then reopening, rinse and repeat. They need to move their program to Sat or Sun nights and add sprints to the regular schedule.  They can't compete with Grand Forks on Friday nights just 70miles away, the only way RRVS is going to break the cycle of opening/closing is to move to a different night. Again, it's a huge opportunity for RRVS with Badlands in limbo.

BWW Crew Chief said on Twitter on 12/2 that Car Owner gave Dusty two-weeks to get back to him with an answer for the 2017 Season.  That'd be about Mid-December, so looks like the ball is in DZ's hands whether or not he wants to keep the BWW ride...

Marks will be going on the Outlaw tour. That sponsor out of Texas is putting a lot of money into that deal and i believe he wants to see them on the tour.

Highlands. They have spoken with a few drivers, but ideally they;d like to have J-Mac back in the car. However, his Australian commitments wouldn't allow for him to run for them until June at best. And form what I;ve heard, I don;pt believe he exactly wants to be back in that car for a multitude of reasons. So I think Highlands right now is kind of waiting on M-Mac

Marks stated that he has most of his sponsers lined up again for next year would not be surprised to see him go full time Outlaw or All Star only way I can see him in the 3 would be if Highlands sponsered the Family car.

Highlands was trying for a couple big names but so far no success.

BWW THEIR BEST COICE would be Sammy on a part time basis if he would want for big shows 360 and 410,and another driver to tutor LOOK HOW MUCH GRAVEL IMPROVED with Sammy in a second car).

Highland's tried to put both Kaedings in the car at the end of the year and I believe they had reached out to Madsen at one point as well. Like I said, I know they have talked to some drivers and I know a few drivers who have reached out to them as well. They have a pretty good idea of what they want. J-Mac is their first choice...but due to Austraia deals, he;s basically not going to be able to do it. And even so, I think they enjoyed having J-Mac a little more than J-Mac enjoying being in the car. Between the Knoxville deal and some other issues, I don't think he left that ride with the best of taste's in his mouth. So that car may end up sitting idle until they find what they are looking for

I don't think the BWW wants to do a PT schedule with as much money as they have involved with the team as well as full time crew (well at least full time crew chief).  Dusty had some good success in the car, so we'll see if he wants to stay.

I hope you're not equating ALL of Gravel's success last year to having Sammy in a 2nd car, especially since the number of events/races they both attended was not extensive (though it did cover most major events).

considering Greg McCormack blocked members of Dusty's family from his twitter, I take what says with a grain of salt....and I doubt it's DZ's decision to make, my guess is the crew chief made the decision for him already.

Oh I'm not even taking it with a half a grain of salt, just passing along.  He did make it clear via a few tweets that this was "up to the owner" not him, so didn't seem like a comfortable position.  My guess is Dusty moves on and the revolving door continues...which I think has A LOT to do with Greg and not so much the owners, but I could be wrong...

Sammy started with CJB in 2015 testing and working on setups thats why i give him credit for alot of Gravels success.

Just heard Cannon is back in a 358 next season.

Highland doesnt want to run full time so its going to be hard to get a name driver.

maybe TK is ride shopping. he made some decent money at badlands without much travel last year but with no Badlands and NSL it really cuts his race nights.
