We are really excited about the racing at Sydney Speedway this weekend.  US racer Harli White will be running here for the first time.  Ian Madsen will be back in Sydney to kick off his Australian summer racing season.  With no World Series event on Saturday night, Brooke Tatnell and Jamie Veal will be in town.  There are currently 63 410 cars nominated for Saturday night. That neams we will  have two solid 'B' features and a very competitive 'A' feature.  In addition the sprint cars, the midgets (speedcars) are also on the program for Saturday.  Saturday can't come soon enough !

Hi MSPN,

You can watch all the action from Valvoline Raceway on Clay-per-view http://www.clayperview.com/

The coverage is excellent and should be a great meeting on Saturday night (Sydney time).

whybros, I signed up to the site, what time in North American Eastern Standard time does that equate to?  I'm guessing 2:30 am, hope I'm wrong.  Actual racing is expected to start around????   Thanks for your help, used to love that place the 2 years I spent over there...

I looked it up, apparently it will be 12:30am here.  Looks like an all-nighter, pulled them in my youthier days, might have to try again, hide the liquor....

Sydney is 16 hours ahead of North American EST.  The time trials should start at 6 PM Saturday in Sydney so that will be 2 AM on the North American east coast.

The racing must end by 11 PM Sydney time because there is a strict noise curfew.  That will be 7 AM North American EST. The track is less than 15 miles west of the centre of Sydney and there are many homes and apartments within ear shot of the track.

I have used Clay-Per-View several times when I couldn't get to the track and the presentation is excellent.

Saturday's race will be a special event as the drivers will be racing in the George Tatnell Challenge.  This race is in honor of George Tatnell,  Brooke's father and an absolute legend of Australian speedway racing.
