Skeptical as always--got a call today from a woman claiming that I won a trip to Disney for my entire family. Signed up for it at the Nationals. I am assuming that there are thousands of people out there that have "won" the same trip? I am assuming I will be sitting through 8 hours of time-share meetings, yada, yada, yada.
Anyone else receive the same call? Haven't returned her call yet but sounded well rehearsed.

I think there was a similar scam going aorund at a large (can't remember if it was a WoO Sprint or Late Model Race) event last year at Lernerville. I know that doesn't help you (like at all, sorry), but I remember something similar occurring there.

Thanks for the input fellas. I was 99.9% sure it was a scam--but didn't even want to waste the 3 minutes on the phone call. And yes, BigRightRear, it would have likely turned entertaining had they asked me for my credit card! A lot of swearing would have taken place!
Maddog--no go for me this weekend. I am all spent out for the $ummer. (and I just bought 'Hawks tickets when they went on sale) Thanks for the invite.

I got this same call about 3 years ago. I signed up for it and it was actually legit. I believe it was like 4 days 5 nights in Orlando and 2 day 3 nights in Daytona Beach. I used it for my Honeymoon. The hotel at Daytona was sketchy so we just got a different hotel. They even gave us money for 2 amusement park tickets. It took me about 3 months to get but i got it. I didnt have to set through any timeshare meetings either. Would i ever use the company again? Hell no!! but it was a free stay in Orlando and two tickets.
I like dirt in my nachos and in my beverage

This begs the question of how this agency is getting all of your phone numbers. Did everyone sign up for the same thing? Or is someone selling customer data without disclosing it?

I did sign up for something in the pole building to the west of the main grandstand. I can't remember what I signed up for and I don't remember giving them as much information as they seemed to have about me. ?? My profession, number of people in my family, etc, etc, etc. The part that I thought was odd--they woman leaving the message said they had been trying to get ahold of me for days. I hadn't had my phone off and it showed no record of them calling me.
I think you are on to something as I did not give them all of the info that they had on me.
