Ameri-Flex Challenge Update
"The Clock Is Ticking"

Tulsa OK (July 28, 2016) - The build up has taken place since the first event of the season and now the $5,000 to win Ameri-Flex Challenge is vastly approaching. This week we announce for the first time, the teams that have secured a few of the 12 automatic lock-in positions for this special race. Here are the car owners and their drivers that have secured the right to be in the Ameri-Flex Challenge starting field at the Caney Valley Speedway on September 3rd:

1) David Chappell / Zach Chappell
2) Whit Gastineau / Whit Gastineau
3) David Moss / Robert Sellers
4) Richard Barksdale / Sheldon Barksdale
5) Hagin Racing / Cameron Hagin

There are those who are extremely close to officially locking into the field as well. With just a few events left on the schedule prior to the Ameri-Flex Challenge, as each remaining event is held and the maximum number of available qualifying points are slowly depleted, the chances of making the field for some are becoming slimmer with each passing week.

The teams that are currently sitting in a prime seat for the additional seven lock-in spots include (Owner / Driver):

Johnny W. Kent / Johnny 'Hotrod' Kent
Tom Pickard / Perry Pickard
Casey Wills / Casey Wills
Tim Kent / Tim Kent
Andy Sewell / Alex Sewell
Waddell Racing / Shayla Waddell
Steve Schmidt / Shane Sellers

The situation is simple for these listed teams. Each will make the automatic qualifying spots just by attending the final few events leading up the the Ameri-Flex Challenge race. However, as we all know in racing, stuff happens. Blown motors sidelining a team, totaling out a car in a crash, the depletion of funds to run a team, as well as other unexpected happenings can derail the best of intentions.

It's all a part of the sport. Should anything happen to just one team, that could kick open the door for another team to slide into play. To view the AFC point standings and the AFC rules, go to www.ocrsracing.com and click on the Ameri-Flex Challenge ad at the top of the home page.

Ameri-Flex Challenge Facts:
The Ameri-Flex Challenge will start 14 cars for a 15-lap shootout with $5,000 going to the winner. Additional cash and prizes will be paid out to the remaining 13 starters as well. This special event will be held at the Caney Valley Speedway in Caney Kansas on September 3, 2016. The field will have 12 positions locked in by a point system for ‘car owners’ with Ameri-Flex Hose & Accessories having 2 selections that will make for a 14-car field.

The Ameri-Flex Challenge features a superb list of sponsors that without them, this event could not take place. Whenever possible, please do business with those that support the very sport we have all come to enjoy. These gracious companies and entities include:
