Image

Ft. Worth TX (7/19/16) by DarinShort.com. Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) officials are pleased to announce the registration website is now open for the U.S. National Dirt Track Championship at The Dirt Track at TMS.

Please click http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html to get your race team registered for the event, purchase reserved paved pit space (while supplies last), make practice night payment and purchase advance 2-day pit passes (saves $10). There, you can also find the event brochure link (upper left of each page), containing division rules links, full purse breakdown, contact information and much more.

The event will be contested September 9th-10th, 2016 featuring the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series Red River Region, Limited Modifieds and Factory Stocks. The Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds will qualify on Friday night, with all drivers returning for Championship night on Saturday. The Limited Modified and Factory Stock championship events will feature a 3-wide start, which will be sure to cap off an exciting climax to the weekend of racing!

The Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series Red River Region event will be contested on Saturday, September 10th. A complete program of heat races, B-features and Championship Feature will take place. There is no TMS entry fee for Sprint Cars to this event, however if Sprint Teams would like to purchase paved reserved pit spaces, make practice night payment or purchase 2-day pit passes, they can do so at the registration website.

Limited Modified and Factory Stock teams can save $40/each on their entry by getting registered between now and August 28th. After that date, ‘race week’ pricing will be in effect.

Car numbers are assigned on a first-come basis, so if there is a number you want, it is a good idea to register as soon as possible for the best chance of getting it.

TMS will add two provisional starters to the Limited Modified and Factory Stock championship feature – but those names will be drawn from pre-entered drivers only, so don't miss out on this second chance! To be considered an “Early Entered Driver” your entry must be received (online or postmarked) by August 28th, 2016. The Limited Modified and Factory Stock championship events pay $2,000 to win and $400 to start (24th)!

There are 120 paved, reserved parking spaces available for this event. Once those spaces have been purchased, all other teams will be parked by TMS officials upon their arrival at the speedway. If you know you need a reserved space, it is highly recommended that you secure yours now, as reserved pit spaces have sold out for each of the previous events.

Teams can pay using any major credit or debit card and all transactions are secured through PayPal, a company that has grown to over 184 million active accounts. You do not have to be a PayPal member to use this free service.

Printable event schedules, rules and more can also be found at the link listed above. If you would prefer to enter by mail, there is an event brochure at the above link that you can print, fill out and mail in your payment. For those not familiar with the TMS layout, there is also a link to a map of the property.

Also available for a limited time only, the beautiful and convenient Marriott Hotel & Golf Club at Champions Circle (across from entrance of TMS) has special discounted rates available to racers and fans for this event! The link is posted towards the upper left of each page of the event website.

If you need racing parts, fuel or Hoosier tires for this event, you should contact http://www.SmileysRacing.com as they will be on hand to keep racers 'on track' at this event. If you place your order ahead of time, they will deliver it to the track, thus saving shipping expense.

Race fans can purchase grandstand tickets to this great weekend of racing for just $10 on Friday and $20 on Saturday. Kids ages 12 and under will be admitted for $5 on Friday and $10 on Saturday. Purchase tickets by clicking http://www.TexasMotorSpeedway.com or calling 817-215-8500. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the ticket gate on race night.

There is no charge for grandstand parking. Outside food/drinks are not allowed through the ticket gates, a full range of food and drinks are available for purchase under the main grandstand area.

Hot laps are at 6pm on Friday, with races at 7pm. Saturday night’s hot laps are at 7pm with racing at 8pm. Grandstands open at 5pm Friday and 6pm Saturday.

There is a practice night scheduled for Factory Stocks, Limited Modifieds and Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series teams Thursday September 8th at 8pm-11pm. Note that the pit gates open Thursday at 3pm.
