Dover Victorious in NCRA Sprint Action at Dodge City Raceway Park!

Dodge City, Kansas – July 1, 2016 - Jack Dover took the lead on lap five and never looked back to claim his first National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products sprint car feature victory of the season Friday night at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kansas on the first night of the “Boothill Showdown” Steve King Memorial.

Tony Bruce, Jr., aboard the Danny King #88 owned sprinter, started on the pole for the twenty lap feature and took the
lead at the start. A quick caution fell on lap two when Taylor Velasquez and Josh Fairbank tangled in turn two.

The restart saw Bruce pacing the field before Dover, aboard the Moss Racing Engines-powered Home Pride/Certified Transmission #53 Eagle chassis, took the lead down the front stretch on lap five. From there the Nebraska driver survived a late race caution with six laps to go and go on to claim the victory and become the eighth different series feature winner in the past eight events held at the speedway.

Fellow Nebraska driver Ryan Roberts came home a strong third while John Carney II edged Danny Jennings for fourth.

The three, eight lap heat races for the twenty-three car field were won by Joe Wood, Jr., Bruce and Carney while Danny Wood claimed the twelve lap “B” feature.

The annual “Boothill Showdown” Steve King Memorial will conclude tonight at Dodge City Raceway Park with $10,000 going to the night’s feature finale winner.
