Southern Oklahoma Speedway Ready for TOMS Invasion Saturday Night!

Ardmore, Oklahoma – May 2, 2016 - For the second time this young, 2016 race season, Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Oklahoma is set to host the Texas Outlaw Modified Touring Series this coming Saturday night, May 7.

When the TOMS last visited the racy 3/8th mile oval it was Texas Colby Smith getting the best of a thirty-three car field to claim his first series victory of the season. In fact, the night’s 30 lap feature finale saw five lead changes amongst three drivers with Smith leading the last ten laps. He would be the lone touring regular with two victories while Rodney Sanders and Chris Henigan having also visited victory lane with the series thus far this season.

Despite his series leading two victories, Tristyon Dycus currently holds the point lead by just twenty points over Josh Landers and Sam Cox. Danny and Wesley Veal sit fourth and fifth, respectively, in the point standings while Chad Ewell, Rory Jordan, Max Eddie Thomas, Smith and Troy Taylor are sixth through tenth in the standings.

Also running will be the tracks hobby, stock car, sport mods and econo-mods as they resume their regular weekly point race action.

Gates open at 5:00 PM with races set for a 7:30 PM start time. Grandstand admission for this event is just $20 for ages 12 and up; ages 6-11 admission is $15 while all pit passes $30.

The Southern Oklahoma Speedway is located 0.7 mile east of I-35 (exit 29) on US 70, then 1.8 miles south on US 77. For more race and ticket information call 405-627-1766 or click www.southernoklahomaspeedway.com to visit the track's official website.
