Sprint Series of Oklahoma Back in Action This Saturday Night!

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – April 18, 2016 - After a successful visit in Ardmore this past Friday night, it is back to racing action for the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA Racesaver sprint series as they will make their first and only scheduled appearance of the season at Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker, Oklahoma this Saturday night (April 23).

Coming into the fifth event on the inaugural season, the tour has been dominated by Lubbock, Texas driver John Carney II as he has won three of the four events completed thus far this season. Texan Brandon Long has the other lone victory yet don’t let those stats fool you as the racing has been top notch and fierce, from heat race action to each feature finale.

Drivers who have indicated their intentions on competing this weekend include; Andy Shouse, Long, Chris and John Kelly, Gary Kelley, female hot-shoe Shayla Waddell, Zach Blurton, Joe Wood, Jr., Loyd Clevenger, Cody Whitworth, Jake Martens and Ty Williams. Several Texas drivers have also expressed interest in this weekend’s event which should provide a full-field of 305-ci sprinters to tackle track owner Mark Brills quarter mile, red-clay oval.

Gates open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for a 7:30 PM start time. Grandstand tickets are $15 for ages 16 and up; Ages 12-15 and seniors $12 while kids ages 6-11 tickets are just $5. All pit passes will be $30.

Pending which direction you take, there are two ways to get to Brill Motor Speedway:

From the Turner Turnpike (I-44) take the Chandler exit, then go ten miles south of Hwy 66 on state highway 18.

From I-40 take exit 186, then go sixteen miles north on state highway 18.
