PMG Announces 7-Race All Star Modified Tour

PETERSEN MEDIA- Aptos, CA)- In 2016, the Prentice Motorsports Group will continue to expand as the PMG Staff is pleased to debut the 7-race All Star Modified Tour traveling series.

“We have a really good program right now with all of our Sprint Car divisions, and we thought a traveling Modified series would be a really good series to add to PMG,” PMG President, John Prentice said. “It is a new series in 2016, so we hope drivers and teams support it so we can grow it in 2017 and beyond.”

The inaugural season for the All Star Modified Tour will see the series in action on seven different occasions as it invades six different tracks, with the Silver Dollar Speedway getting two dates on the schedule.

On Saturday night, March 5th at the Silver Dollar Speedway, the series will take its first ever green flag as they share the stage with the Winged 360ci Sprint Cars as well as the Wingless Series presented by Joe Hunt Magnetos during the highly anticipated Silver Cup.

Moving to the Calistoga Speedway on April 10th the series races along side the World of Outlaws, before sharing the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA with the King of the West Series on May 14th.

June 18th the All Star Modified Tour will be back in action alongside the KWS at the ultra-fast Stockton Dirt Track, visiting the Ocean Speedway on August 13th and the ‘Baddest Track In the Bay’, the Petaluma Speedway on August 20th.

The month of September sees the series end their season right where they started it, as the inaugural season comes to a close at the Silver Dollar Speedway on October 15th.

The All Star Modified Tour will operated under IMCA rules and procedures, and will pay $1000 to win each feature event.

“I am really exited for the All Star Modified Tour, and cannot stress the importance of driver support enough,” Prentice added. “We hit some of California’s best venues, and only hope to grow the series in years to come.”

ON TAP: The Prentice Motorsports Group kicks off its 2016 season at the Silver Dollar Speedway on March 5th as both the All Star Modified Tour and the Wingless Series Presented by Joe Hunt Magnetos will be in action.
