I really like Brian but to say he built his team from scratch might be sugar coating it a little bit. I think Danny had a huge impact in Brians career the first couple of years. From there he has definately built on that, but Danny helped with some of the conections getting started.

It would be nice to start with a motor, chassis, shocks, wings, wheels. Etc. that could win anywhere in the country from race #1. Still had to drive the thing & get some funding but damn that'd be nice to start like that. Guy knows how to speak to sponsors. That's my biggest thing looking in at him. Driving would be a close 2nd though.

I think everyone agree that Danny had a huge help on Brian's career and definitely got him started in good equipment. But he has built his own team from the ground up and has been able to attract really great sponsors and more importantly KEEP those sponsors with him to allow him to make a career of sprint car racing. I'm sure Danny's help was insurmountable at the beginning, but Brian really took ahold of his own reigns and made stuff happen for himself.

I would give more of that credit to Goerge than to Danny! JMO Brain has done very well for himself and should be proud of that!!

Of course Danny helped him getting started. And Brian really tore some stuff up in those days.... Does anyone remember him being on these very forums searching for sponsorship? I sure do! Once he lost the ride in the 6 Caseys car he REALLY applied himself and gained the focus he has today IMO. The Doogs really stepped up for him in that time and dont get enough credit. Once they were done Brian bought from them and bulit it to what BBR is today. Honestly Brian is now probably the most fan friendly driver I have ever been around for the sport. He's always talking to someone. Constantly asking the kids how they enjoyed the races and if they'll be to the next one. He knows how to make a connection with peoples mind, which only benefits himself and the sport in general. What do you thing Danny would give to be in Brians position now? Hell, I'd say anyone other than maybe 6-8 Outlaw drivers would do anything to be in Brians shoes.
