no kidding, their video coverage is worth about $0.20, bought the SPrint WoO deal for Volusia, then the Xsan at Eastbay, and WOW, video... Hands down to Xsan, just if htey could get Xsan to cover the WoO Shows with JG announcing, it would be worth the price they are asking currently!!!!!

It did get  much better for dash-b main-feature.  Time trials and heat races were bad with scrolling.  Image sure is not bright and sharp details.  I think if you complain to them they might give you next race free as they did for us once.  Good thing is how well Steve Kinser looks,  they sure have  motor problems solved.  I think Steve feels revigorated the way they have improved this year.

But apparently things got better? Maybe they were busy working on a solution ... I too had pretty severe buffering early on in the night -- but later the stream was smooth like butter.

Yeah, after the sprint 2nd heat it was flawless. But before the 2nd heat, it was looking like Chico 2013 all over again by me. Hopefully tomorrow will pick up where it left off tonight. ??

with all the problems everyone keeps saying they have the question that comes to my mind is this:

If they do such a crappy job in a major metropolitain area at a Major League facility (LVMS), how on earth could it be better at some of the "hole in the wall" tracks they will go to over the summer?

Seems to me that Dirtvision might just be an afterthought by the WRG and they may never invest the $$$'s necessarry to make it a worthwhile business venture.

Wheras groups like XSAN and the Cushion are making streaming the race their #1 priority and making it a worthwhile busines venture.  They know that the better they do, the more $$$ they can make.

I know the guy who owns XSAN, he's not affiliated with any of the series or tracks they broadcast from.  I'm guessing that is probably the case with Dirtvision as well.  My guess is that they are contracted to the Outlaws to do their broadcasts and not actually owned by the Outlaws but again that's only my guess.  My lone experience with Dirtvision went well when they allowed me to test drive their stream to see how it worked on the Linux OS.  I did not experience any buffering or get knocked off their broadcast.  They have the advantage of having content that is in demand so I would purchase the feed for some of the bigger WoO races but it's not something I can afford more than a couple times a summer.

We don't know any of the details about their deal with the Outlaws.  The WoO could have upped their share of the revenue for example.  We'll never know the inner workings of the deal or the reasons for the broadcast resolution, etc., so it simply boils down to are these services worth the price to us personally.  In my case I write for a racing paper and take photos during our season and I do it on a shoestring budget.  A few weekends of watching streaming races could easily wipe out a month of gas money so it would not be a good choice for me.  I need to save my money to fund my travels and fulfill my commitments this summer.  If I was going to the races and sitting in the stands without any commitments or deadlines I'd probably watch more of these streaming races.

It's all a matter of perspective and priorities.  Ain't workin' out for me but that don't mean it's a bad choice.

Even the Audio keeps dropping out and seems to skip around. Parts
of different sentences start and stop. Is this a delayed broadcast for them to
buffer? Weird.

Video would cut in/out as well. Granted, it was rarely during racing so it wasn't a huge deal for me. Still worth it to see the Greatest Show on Dirt while I'm stuck up here in the snow.

ok I thought I would share this with you:

I'm really into skateboarding, and have conpeted for many years, have 11 deck graphic's,and even close named after me,so I watch a lot of feed of other country's competitions when I can't be there to see how my friends do.

We watch sidney austrailia, denmark copenhagen and many other's.

Now they play for 10 to 12 hours of non-stop stream, and it's always perfect. The most resent was Bondi, and it had over 300,000 veiwers at one point.Never a glitch, also having side chat on screen. It would put up your coments within 1 second, and never effected the stream. So many people talking sometimes you could hardly read fast enough.

and it was FREE...

They did have comecials sometimes, and yes it's Levi money,Red Bull ect.,but why is it that you can't get this kind of experence with dirtvision?

sorry to hear these guy's just can't deliver even when charging.

Racin boy's got it,the cusion ,even Xsan...seems no end to poor product from dirtvision.

Maybe they shoud bag it..or make it free and figure out the bugs....

For the second night the audio feed is acting up. Johnny will be mid-sentence and then a part of his pre-recorded advertisement spot takes over for a second or 2, then it stops and I have to hit the play button to get things started again. Anyone else having this issue?

No problems here. Sound & picture fine. Just not in HD. You do not need a new, latest & greatest of everthing computer. I've got a google tv box and it works great, no buffering or picture freezing. About $100. Much cheaper than replacing my somewhat old computer!

I've had issues with the sound cutting in and out last few nights as well. Last time I listened at home and the sound just kept shutting off and had to refresh dirtvision several times. Tonight I'm listening at work and sound is staying on but a few times like others have mentioned some other broadcast will cut in. Also I swear the sound will cut out right at the most crucial point (last lap, start of race, etc.).
