Kiwi hard chargers Michael Pickens and Brad Mosen are coming to the Chilli Bowl and they will be driving the best New Zealand made equipment. They will both be driving the Aggressor Chassis manufactured under the BSL Racing umbrella www.aggressorchassis.com and powered by the very cool locally produced synergy V8 Midget Engine. Check these out at www.synergypower.co.nz for something a little less ordinary under the bonnet.

Wish you had a picture of a piston or valve.

Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

They are siamesed Kawasaki engines. Basically the same design that Mel Kenyon ran with the Sesco/Suzuki V8 engine nearly 30 years ago. I believe that Davey Ray will also be running one too.

If I were going to go down the small V8 road, I think that this one is the best one out there. Based off the bad ass Hyabusa engine.

This thing puts out 400hp @ 10,000 rpm. See the specs here http://www.h1v8.com/page/page/1562069.htm And component pictures here http://www.h1v8.com/page/page/4566006.htm And a chasss dyno video here http://www.h1v8.com/f/dyno_mpeg_compressed.mpg the engine costs just under $27,700.

Hyabusa and two wheels! That thing is dangerous. They have to invent a new word to replace crotch rocket to define that thing.

Both the Kiwis in the A-main... impressive.

I wonder if those cars will ever go back to New Zealand or if some owner with deep pockets will buy it all up.

But i hear both car where in the Top 5 till a spin and a tag to the wall sent them backward.

It's a motor of the future and seems very reliable. Yet to see one blow up.

I don't know who has the deep pockets in that group. But sending two cars, spare parts, tools and a motor on a ship for two weeks, plus about 15 people on a 29 hour plane ride from New Zealand. And rent a truck in LA and pay two guys to drive it to Tulsa can't be cheap.

Not bad for the first time at the Chili Bowl by putting both cars in the A. When I asked who I thought was the crew chief if they were coming back he said you betcha I am already working on next years stuff. I got a chuckle from him when we talked about the trip to Tulsa across the water and who had the deep pockets. He said I can not take it with me and I love this stuff, So I guess he was probably more than a crew chief lol. Very nice people and they had some good drivers as well, next year I guess I will find out his name.LOL

Wow! That's cool.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

It aint as bad as you make it sound, one container from LA to NZ is less than US$ 2000, so itd be a similar price the other way, they got the truck for free, it was supposed to be $2400 but the quote was missing a 0, so at 5pm on a friday, they were just given the truck if they promised to bring it back! and and 3 of the crew drove it across country. The flights about 15hs or so, NZ$1600 return, the crew was only about 4 guys and 2 drivers, the rest were a film crew from TVNZ.It wasnt a cheap venture by any means, but the guys did real well on a budget that was pretty modest in comparison to some of the other teams. I wasnt there by the way, I dont even know them, but that film crew I mentioned just finished their job and the program was on TV couple of days ago.

It is not possible that this engine weighs only 200 lbs.  Better  ask someone that really knows.

Years ago Buick and Olds made a aluminum 215 cu and 162 cu V-8 that was first used in a few Indy cars and also used in a few midgets.I drove one a few times and at that time they might have been 200+H.P. maybe less at that time the 4cyl Chevy based and Volkswagon were also used. There were a few 2x4 Chevys but not many. It is a shame midget racing got so expensive as they were a lot of fun and the fields were large. Actually the newer winged micros are as fast on a short track as the non winged midgets.

Big Hp numbers but I would think on the Chili Bowl track you would want higher torque numbers
