Let's say Attica could open for 1 night only to host an All Star race and they said they were limited to 1000 fans due to regulations that people maintain 6 feet apart, and you were given the chance to buy 1 of the 1000 available tickets, how much would you pay?  I think I'd pay up to $50 to watch a live race about now.

Well that $50,000 would never support a WOO race.

Being that I've never been to Attica and have seen some pretty exciting video from there, yeah I'd pay the fifty. Just have to find a way out there.

If it was the only 410 race in America now, would it have to be a WoO race?

Cool thread.

I was at WG a few years ago and paid 35 or 40 but i would not have said there were more than 1500 people there

Maybe i am wrong but since 1000 people at 50 bucks wont support the WoO, even tho the OP said Allstars, how does the Grove cover a WoO show with 1500 ish at 35 bucks.

The only race of the summer, if i was a reasonable distance from the track id pay 100, but only for myslef, no family on my dime for this outing.

You have to remember that the cost for me to watch any sprints is a couple hundred or more per race with botels and travel and food and tickets,  so 100 to watch doesnt really affect my overall cost by much. But i wouldnt travel cause it might rain.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Seeing how it is a track I have not been too and I'm going through withdraw, as long as I know I would get a ticket after making the trip I would pay 100 spend lots on track conconcessions and buy a couple of driver shirts.

Meh.

I know I'm speaking from a point of view that is incredibly privileged, but I still work from home, draw a salary, and my life hasn't changed that much. I usually can't go to the track in the spring anyway because of coaching, so I'm not missing anything right now.

I also have a bunch of different hobbies besides dirt track racing, so I've just been spending more time in those realms. I've been doing a ton of reading, going for a 3 to 5 mile run every day, and doing lots of push ups, sit ups, pull ups, and squats in the basement.

So currently? I'm pretty content. $0

I like the idea but I'm not sure how it would work considering the states all having different regulations.  For example, I live in Minnesota and I was just reading in our local news that North Dakota is requiring anyone traveling there from states or countries to self quarantine for 14 days.  I'm tired of reading articles about it and don't have plans to go there so I didn't read the entire article.  I'm not sure how that order affects racing teams from ND, if they travel do they have to quarantine?

Anyways, this likely won't work today but I'm assuming we're looking a month or two down the road.  Looking at places where they're over the hump is a rule of thumb.  Wuhan just opened up after 76 days so based on that we have a ways to go.  I think population and close living conditions are a huge factor and most Sprint Car racing takes place in rural settings and small towns.  It's not as if we have to go nuts to butts in the subway an hour each way to get to our favorite dirt track.  There is some light at the end of the tunnel but it's a longer tunnel than we expected.

I'm with Johnny. When it comes back it comes back. Now, the instagram pit lizards, that's a different story. They want those pics of themselves hip-popping, duck-lipping, peace signing...gotta get those likes and re-tweets.  #DirtTrackinChickLyfe

Same here. Between work and weather, I typically might be able to make it to 1-2 races in April if I am lucky. Quite a few times the days I am able to go get rained out which normally bums me out because I know I probably will not be able to make it to a race until the Outlaws visit Eldora in May. Right now I have already made it up in my mind that April is a "Rain out" and most likely May too. Hopefully when it comes back I can take a few trips to some tracks I haven't seen if I am able to continue to get paid this whole time.

I have been running in the neighborhood, doing yard work, playing with my son, going fishing with him on the weekends. As of now I am good with $0.

So my local track, luckily is Knoxville. I've praised them on here before multiple times.

For a weekly race, I'd pay $20-25, before I started complaining. Keep in mind all I have to watch is 3 class of sprints, nothing else.

Special race, such as MOWA, Poweri, All Stars, at another track with in 4 ish hours, $25-$40

Allstars: $30 - $40

Outlaws: $40-$60

Nationals: $40 - 65 a night, keeping in mind there's 4 total nights and excluding any other racing during that week.
