Craig was as good as any driver.Injuries, age, and funding all enter in . Problem with racing no retirement plan,401K or pension. It didnt use to be that way but not many rides left that you can just bring your helmet and talent.Wish him the best. Most drivers get 40% but you have to be in the top five to survive and that still isnt enough to support a family

I don't know if I would say "he's out of a ride".... from the article, sounds like he's trying to recover from injuries

Agree, Rehab takes a long time especially for serious injuries, best of luck to you, Craig

I saw a share from UMSS a few days ago of photos of two cars Craig is building in his shop. I'm not sure what the deal is on those but there isn't much racing left up here after Knoxville's last show.

I read the article that Craig was stepping back for rehab purposes. He may not feel like he is 100% or can't do the things that he wants to be able to do in the car. He mentioned that he is thinking about a race or 2 in October so I don't think he is done yet.
Probably tough to come back from his injury, surgery and then quite a long layoff and be able to race the way you want. With all the rain Knoxville has had this year, he hasn't gotten the laps he wanted to.
Either way, here's hoping things are ok with Dollansky and Selvage and maybe we will see them together again.

I sure hope he will be back in a car too. I have always enjoyed watching him wheel a car! He isn't a bottom feeder. I sure hope he is back in a car full time, wish it was with the WoO. I can't imagine all those years of pain while still driving!

Right, & I would imagine he wants to live the rest of his "post racing" life without pain
It takes a special kind of crazy to drive in a sprint car race.... IMHO
