Josh Schneiderman – A Warm Ohio Welcome!

Des Moines, IA (July 11, 2018) – Two nights are down and three remain for Josh Schneiderman and the Deuce Motorsports team, as they gear up for the three nights of the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway! While the results haven’t been quite what they wanted to start the week, Josh and the team enjoyed their first visit to Attica Raceway Park and are looking to return home with some strong finishes over the next three nights with the World of Outlaws.

Saturday night at the Knoxville Raceway kicked off a busy week for “The Professor” and the Deuce Motorsports team, though not quite the way the way that they wanted. “We didn’t time the best on Saturday and the car just really didn’t feel good,” said Josh. “We tried some different things on Saturday, as we’ve been working to improve our qualifying efforts all year, but we just need to keep searching.”

Changes made to the car between time trials and the heat provided Schneiderman with a better performing World of Wheels #49. “We got the car back to where it was pretty good in the heat, where we started on the outside of the front row,” said Josh. “However, the inside line got a good jump at the start and we settled into third and that’s where we finished.”

The night’s main event left the West Burlington-native frustrated, as Josh didn’t feel their finish was indicative of their performance. “We ended the night in 11th, which was upsetting, because it felt like we had the car to do better,” said Schneiderman. “It was definitely fast around the top and the next five guys in front of us were all running pretty close together and we just couldn’t make any headway.”

Unlike most weeks, where the Deuce Motorsports team would have a week until their next chance to hit the track, only two days separated them from their next event. “We left on Monday to get out to Ohio in time for Tuesday’s Brad Doty Classic at Attica,” said Josh. “Based on our experience Tuesday, we might have to make that an annual trip.”

The welcoming party was out in full force on Tuesday night at Attica Raceway Park and Josh and the team couldn’t have appreciated it more. “We pulled into Attica as complete outsiders, but everyone there treated us like one of their own,” said Schneiderman. “It was really cool, because it seemed like they really didn’t care where we were from, but they just loved that we had come from far away to be there.”

“The Professor” didn’t have a terrific night on the track, ending in the C-main, but it didn’t put a damper on the team’s experience. “The result sucked, but we had an absolute blast,” said Josh. “I knew it was going to be tough with it being our first trip there and against great competition, but we learned a lot and had an awesome time.”

It wasn’t just the fans that helped make the night a great experience for the team, but also the race’s namesake. “Brad Doty came over to us before the race and thanked us for making the tow out,” said Josh. “To Brad, the fans, and all the track crew at Attica, I have to say thank you and we’re looking forward to getting back next year!”

Already a worthwhile trip, there are still three nights of racing that lay ahead for Josh and the Universal Therapy Group #49. “We just pulled into Eldora a little while ago and I’m excited for the next three nights,” said Schneiderman. Hitting another track that they’ve never raced on will be a challenge for the Deuce Motorsports team, but they feel up to the task: “It’s Eldora, so there’s really nothing that compares, but it’s a bit closer to what we’re used to running than Attica and we have a few nights to get things figured out, so we’ll see what we can do,” said Josh.

The team is keeping expectations low for the weekend, but have still set some goals. “We’re looking to just make progress each night,” said Josh. “If we can make the A-main one night, then I’ll consider that a big win.”

Josh and the Deuce Motorsports team will be on the track this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Eldora Speedway with the World of Outlaws, so be sure to check out Josh’s Twitter @JSRacing49 for updates!
