Knoxville 18 410s
Does that mean everyone hates the WOO for having a race 320 miles away on a Saturday night.
Or do you hate the IRA and MOWA for having a race 290 miles away.
I say there needs to be no races within 400 miles of Knoxville.

No, no, and no. Knoxville has averaged 26 410's, 21 360's, and 17 305's this season and the show is almost always over
by 9:45pm. Three incredible features last night with the checkered flag falling at around 9:35pm. How has the season
been at your home track?

Is that 410 car count inflated by the Outlaw shows? I am not making fun; car counts are a concern everywhere. But the weekly Knoxville shows seems to be 21-22 410s when I look at the results.

Yes it is, without the Outlaw shows the 410 average is 21. 4 Weekly shows with 25 or more. Next week will likely be low as well until it ramps up through Nationals.

Would a WoO racer have gotten in trouble if he raced at Knoxville last night?

Crap! I guess that means St. Francois County Raceway will need to cut out the 410 sprints. It is only 358 miles from Knoxville Raceway.

You are 100% correct numbers are way down everywhere and who was missing besides Brown,The Madsen boys are not regulars at Knoxville any more, they are out chasing the money races as is Brown.Take a look at the Knoxville crowds more empty seats than i have ever seen.Gate costs are making it way too expensive for the adverage family to go racing

It really eats you and a few others up inside, doesn't it?! Check out the car counts at Knoxviille in a few weeks if you're so inclined to do so, and be sure to let us know what they are. LOL!

Car counts don't always dictate the quality of the racing. Those were (3) of the best A Mains of the season last night. But I guess you had to be there to witness that...z

18 cars are capable of putting on a good show and it sounds like they did. I wouldn't get too worked up. From what I've seen and heard, they have done pretty well the first 1/2 of the season.
Would it be good if no races ran within 400 miles of Knoxville last night? Sure----good for Knoxville. But what about Cedar Lake Speedway? Would it have been good for them if the Outlaws didn't run? They had a pretty good show and at no sacrifice to the quality of the show at Knoxville. I say "win-win".
Why do we get so negative about a down week for #'s? Go to the races and relax and have fun.

Wonder if they posted Knoxvilles 410 car count on the big screen at Badlands? Oops, forgot, if they did nobody would have seen it.

Gate costs getting to expensive?! Knoxville hasnt raised prices since like 2010 AND now 12 and under get in free. Watch last nights highlights. Racing was fantastic.

Car counts come and go, always have always will. There will be 360 integration as drivers move up. Other organizations come and go.
Knoxville is Knoxville. There is no weekly show that begins to compare.

Gate costs are too expensive? Huh?
$15 for adults, $10 for teenagers, and kids 12 and under are free. The concession stands are very affordable (while maintaining great quality) compared to any other major sporting venue.
As far as the car count, Knoxville's 18 410s put on an amazing show from the heats to the feature last Saturday. Sure the Outlaws took away a few cars, but that's going to happen on occasion. The Outlaws have such a crazy schedule that once in a great while they're going to be within hauling distance of Knoxville and draw away two or three cars. This doesn't lessen the quality of racing at Knoxville though. For $15 on a Saturday night you can't beat the dollar value that Knoxville offers.

Car counts are for sure a concern but no sane promoter is going to stay dark to help Knoxville when there is money to be made. Numbers seem to keep dropping a bit each year in all classes at Knoxville. Will people keep showing up if there are 12 or 14 cars in each class? Not sure. Is the answer finding a way to make this sport cheaper or is the answer diversification of schdule bringing in different enteratinment? NASCAR trucks maybe? Monster truck extravaganza? Flood it and have drag boats? Next year you'll have two days of non-wings July 5 and 6 while the Outlaws are at Cedar Lake. Guessing the 410 class would have the weekend off.
