I have only camped at the "North Campground" (you can reserve by calling the Knoxville raceway) and Van Donslers Auctions campground. Both good. Van Donslers is a little closer to the track.

If you like side by side camping with all night partying the North campground is the place to be. They are packed in there. You'll have to shower in your camper. I prefer camping at Lake Red Rock. It is quiet, nice shower houses and a beautiful lake and campground. Whitebreast area is about 9 miles from the track, but worth the drive in my opinion.
You can tell an ass... but, you can't tell 'em much

I'm with sprintfanman. Lake Red Rock is very nice. Good camping spots for RV's or tents, plenty of electrical hook-ups, clean restrooms and showers and close to Knoxville and Pella. Quieter but loaded with race fans if you want to hang out with others. They accept on-line reservations either 3 or 6 months ahead of time. Whitebreast is good as is Howell Station.

Also check out Roberts Creek which is north of Knoxville or Marion County Park which is just on the southwest edge of knoxville. Both are managed by Marion County and both great places to stay.
