The car to beat right now.  Might not be that way in 2, 3 or 10 weeks.  But right now, the car to beat.

Don't know where it will go from here. But,  it's wonderful too see that someone was able to finally get Donny to second!

Couldn't be happier for a nicer young guy from Connecticut make it. It would be pretty interesting to see if a David was from California or from a son of a racer to see where doors and opportunities would open

I really wish someone would give him a shot at another type of racing. Congrats Gravel!!

Why? I enjoy watching him in sprint cars. I understand there is potentially more $$ in other forms of racing but I don't watch that.

They need to stop at 25. The OTHERS that get votes are a joke.

Think of it as an honorable mentions section. It's pretty tough to crack the Top 25, but each of those drivers that also received votes made it into the Top 25 of one of our voters' ballots. I'd say that's deserving of some recognition.

Tyler I can agree with that. But, after 25 I just think it's time to stop. Yea any of those honorable mentions could have a hot night. I just think those nights are few and far apart for them.

Let's be kind on here. It's not a swear session.

I was quite surprised today to have not read more tweets or anything from the out laws with David Moving up and Donny dropping out of first!

Lets stay on topic and play nice

Considering the poll is a "right now" determination of the rankings, Gravel is definately the top driver in the sprint car ranks. It's not like the change at the top is based on just one or two races, Gravel has been at the top of the heap for a while, now. Will he stay there, and if so, for how long? I think it's still going to be Schatz's season in the end, but it would be nice to see a season long threat to his dominance. Hopefully the title will be settled on the track, and not in the pits due to bad luck on either racer's part.

I know this is a "for fun" poll, and it's not to be taken too seriously. However, the only way Gravel is #1 is if the poll is heavily weighted towards most recent performance. Schatz has more wins, leads the points etc...

Gravel since Tulare has been on fire, no doubt though.

The way I read it is it's determined week to week so yes heavily weighted to most recent performance(s), but obviously the foundation for where the poll started was based on overall performance.  Sort of like College Football or Basketball polls.  Depending on your results that week is where you slide up or down (but again the original Top 25 for this season started from somewhere).

The copy at the top of the poll indicates: "Welcome back for another week of our Top 25 National Sprint Car Poll. Our voters' ballots this week take into consideration all of the '410 sprint' races that were contested from April 13th-16th."

That's what a power ranking really is.  Who's the hottest.......now.  It means, who do I have to beat if I show up at the track and they are there, now.  There's really no debating Gravel has been the man to beat lately.

Can't say he will be next week but no denying after the last few weeks.
