I take it you are not going. Stop whining, people like you cause race tracks to close.
Losing is natures way of saying you suck.

So now they want $35 to see the ASCS national tour?
They need to cover the appearance money.

Actually, I think he's got a point. We pay $25 for ASCS National races at Devils Bowl and $35 for WoO. And we're talking TMS here, which might as well be closed anyway. It's was only open for two or three race events every year and apparently only one this year.

Do you know what it costs to lease the facility? I don't. And leasing the facility is probably the only way you have a race at that track.
Do you know what they are paying in appearance fees to guarantee some of those names being there? I don't. And before we get bent out of shape over the practice, appearance fees have been paid to big names in racing for decades. If you want to advertise the name, you have to pony up the fee.
Do you know if the promotors get a cut of the concessions or does the contract the facility has with it's vendors (since it's a NASCAR facility) preclude that happening (a revenue source that the promotors would get at a track they owned)? I don't know that either.
Should the promotors be able to make some money off a race? yep.
BTW, most of the guys that run these tours seem to relish the challenge of having big names to race against....the reality is, if you want to fill a big grandstand at a place that doesn't run weekly, you need a draw. Stewart, Bell, Swindell, Lasoski, KW, are draws and anything that gets eyeballs on this sport is a good thing. Just like Larson saying last week that NASCAR should be sending their drivers to local short tracks to engage grassroots fans.
I understand the price is a little steep. If you think its too steep, don't go. If enough others follow suit, the race will be a bust. If the drivers don't come because of the purse, it will be a bust. Then it will either not happen again or be re-thought for next year. If its a big crowd and a decent field then it won't.

Duh.... that advertising is meant to get the NASCAR fans in the seats. Not the local sprint car fans.

Yep he has a point. But big but, this is your "hobby" pay up or find a cheaper hobby. Trains? Stamps? Coins? We all chase something we like and you gotta pay the man.

Agree!!! We bitch about purses, track conditions, facilities and then we turn around and bitch about the price for the show. ????

There was a time when it was pretty common to have the Cup drivers make appearances at local tracks and stores in the communities around race weekend. Now? Not so much.

while I personally think the ticket price for this 360 race is a little on the excessive side, there is only ONE support class, and I think they've put a limit on entries for that class, I'd rather pay a few bucks more, if it means I don't have to sit through 5 support classes.
