UPROAR IN KILGORE APRIL 30th: LSS MODS vs USMTS $3,000/win - Plus Much More!

Kilgore TX (04/15/16) by DarinShort.com. LoneStar Speedway (LSS) racers and fans are chomping at the bit for the next blockbuster event on the schedule, Saturday April 30th, when the LSS Modified teams get their chance to take on the best in the nation, the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS).

$3,000 will go to the Modified winner, with a total posted purse in excess of $20,000; which includes the Limited Modifieds competing for $750/win, while the first Factory Stock driver to cross the checkers will take home $500. This is a full points night for all LSS points divisions, and the FWD 4-Cylinders will round out the 4-division racing card.

This is the first USMTS event at LSS in five years (the past two were rained out), and race fans can expect to see many of the nation's finest Modified drivers taking on the strong contingent of LSS Modified drivers who are poised to defend their home turf.

USMTS drivers including Austin Arneson, Ben Kates, Bobby Malchus, Brock Bauman, Cade Dillard, Casey Arneson, Dereck Ramirez, Jason Hughes, Jesse Sobbing, Joe Duvall, Johnny Scott, Philip Houston, Rodney Sanders, Ryan Gustin, Scott Drake, Steve Miller, Steve Whiteaker Jr., Stormy Scott, Tyler Wolff are expected as well as 2016 King of America winner Zack VanderBeek.

Plus, fans can expect a solid field of LoneStar Modified drivers, such as Blake Tennimon, Bryan Gunwall, Chad Migues, Chris Henigan, Danny Veal, Donnie Powers, Jason Ingalls, Jeff Harris, Jerry Jackson, Justin Ingalls, Kelly Lockey, Kenny Gaddis, Kyle Taylor, Larry Fears, Max Eddie Thomas(current LSS Modified points leader) Sean Gaddis, Taylor Rateliff, Tye Clampitt, Wes Armstrong and Zack McMillan.

In addition to the $3,000 to win USMTS event (purse posted at Series website), a complete program of Limited Modified ($750 to win) and Factory Stocks ($500 to win) will compete with heats and features. The new FWD 4-Cylinder division will round out the 4-division program. There is the standard USMTS entry fee and rules in the Modifieds, while the Limited Modified and Factory Stock divisions have no entry fee. Again, all three divisions will receive full LoneStar Speedway points.

A very solid payback is posted for the Limited Modifieds and Factory Stocks:

Limited Modifieds: $750 - $500 - $300 - $220 - $200 - $180 - $160 - $140 - $120 - $100 - $80...to start. All NQ $30.

Factory Stocks: $500 - $350 - $250 - $200 - $180 - $160 - $140 - $120 - $100 - $80 - $80 - $60...to start. All NQ $20.

FWD 4-Cylinders: $120 - $100 - $80 - $60 - $40 - $20...to start.

Hot laps are scheduled for 7pm, with racing to follow immediately. Pit gates open by 3pm, and the grandstand entrance opens at 5pm. Draw cutoff is 6:15pm, so drivers, please plan to arrive accordingly.

An event flyer are posted at the track website and Facebook page.
