Sprint Series of Oklahoma Ready for Doubleheader Weekend!
 
 
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – April 12, 2016 - Its back to racing action this weekend as the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA Racesaver series is set for a weekend double-header, destined to take the minds off that dreaded tax deadline day. It all kicks off on Friday night (April 15) at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Oklahoma. From there the tour will head north to Longdale Speedway in Longdale, Oklahoma for a showdown with the Kansas based United Rebel Sprint Series (URSS).
 
Andy Shouse currently sits atop the SSO point standings and will lead the “winged warriors” into this weekend’s race action. Fresh off his victory at Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas back on April 3, Texas driver Brandon Long has indicated his intentions on competing for the series championship and will also be making the trip.
 
Other drivers who have indicated their intentions on competing this weekend include; Chris and John Kelly, Gary Kelley, female hot-shoe Shayla Waddell, Zach Blurton, Jerry Jumper, Joe Wood, Jr., Loyd Clevenger, Cody Whitworth, Jake Martens and Ty Williams.
 
Friday night gates at Southern Oklahoma Speedway will open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for a 7:30 PM start time. Grandstand prices are $15 for ages 13 and up; $10 for ages 6-12; all pit passes will be $30.
 
Southern Oklahoma Speedway is located off of I-35 to exit 29, go east on Hwy 70 for 0.7 mile then south on Hwy 77 for two miles. As mentioned, the Saturday night event at Longdale Speedway will be a combined effort with the Kansas based URSS in what is shaping up to be a stout field of competitors. Defending series champion Jake Bubak of Colorado headlines a list of strong URSS regulars expected to make the tow as well as Kansas regulars Kaden Taylor, Brian Herbert, Jed Werner, Zach Taylor, Jed Radcliffe and Cody Lampe.
 
Gates at Longdale Speedway open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for a 7:00 PM start time. Adult general admission tickets are just $15; $12 for seniors and all military personnel; children ages 6-12 just $5 and kids five and under admitted to the grandstands for free.

The SSO is in its inaugural season and has completed three events thus far this season. Winners include John Carney II (2) and Long.
